The garlic prawns, the Smoked Sausage Croquettes, and the Bacalhau à Brás were all exquisite. I especially loved the Ilha São Miguel cheese. And to top it off, the pastel de nata and port were exceptional as well. The service was prompt and attentive without being overbearing, which we really appreciated. The ambiance was lovely; we sat at the counter, and the room filled with beautiful tiles made us feel like we were in Portugal itself.”

“Ken’s! Back to the Somebody Feed Phil tour if London! The family and I took a trip out to Dulwich, where we got to meet the man, the myth, the legend Ken himself. We mentioned we watched the show and had to come out. He was extremely friendly and told us what we had to get. We went with the cod and chips. It was light and airy but also perfectly crisp and tasty. We read some reviews that the fish is great but the chips left something to be desired, well that wasn’t the case for us. The chips were crispy and delicious. The fish hit the spot, but it could’ve used a little more flavor. More salt in the batter potentially, and the vinegar was a little lacking in flavor. Either way, a lovely experience was had with the entire family.”

I recommend the seafood platter because it is delicious and you get to try a few different things. They had great cocktails and wine as well. The service was good and had a nice atmosphere. Although somehow it almost does as the gloomy atmosphere kind of transfers to the vibe inside - (it felt like there wasn’t any). Not sure if it’s new and needs more advertising or if the location (off the beaten track) has put potential guests off or could have been just a quiet day. Still better than it being really rowdy and annoying so I shouldn’t really complain!”

Great food… the croquettes were great starters to go with my rum punch. The curried shrimp, rice and peas and jerk wings were delicious.
