I see in other reviews there were pictures of sushi but there was no sushi when we came. The ocean salad was delicious, poke was good, and the steamed taro-wrapped chicken and pork were just ok, pretty pricey for lunch though. There is no seating to eat here, not even a bench outside.”

“1st picture is the tomahawk steak. Steak is 10/10, veggies 5/10, mashed potatoes 6/10. For $88 the steak was amazing however the veggies and mashed potatoes were not that good. String beans were hard and the mashed potatoes was a little bit dry. 2nd picture is the bone-in filet for $67. Steak is 11/10. The steak was so soft it basically melted on my tongue. Same issue with the veggies and mashed potatoes. For these prices I expected better sides. However the steaks were amazing! The service was amazing. Servers were always checking in on you making sure you have the best time. They offer coat checks at the front. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great. The area was dimmed. You can tell you’re in a fancy restaurant.”

“This place is killer. My wife and I love oysters, but this place is on a different level. It’s like the west coast version of what you’d expect in P.E.I. The staff are friendly and the oysters are a must. Including the grilled oysters (numerous flavours, my favourite was blue cheese). They also have beer on tap and some really nice wines. Win win for sure. Go check them out!!”

“Great environment and added bonus candy store next door! Even when the answer was No from the wait staff, they checked first and delivered it pleasantly + offered substitution for said item unavailable. Outside is fun with fish, turtles, ducks, and planks to observe/feed from. Large swing chairs and picnic tables. Fun, funky, place! We fed a family of 4 + beer for $43. Can't beat that! Will visit again on our way to Lost Lagoon.”

“Hidden gem! A must in the 626! Loved how fresh the raw seafood selections there, a perfect place to get your sashimi craving fixed. Most importantly, it’s very clean. It’s also a small Japanese market that sells a bunch of sake, snacks & cookies, sauces, and sushi rolls. You can also order the party trays from them. It might be a little difficult to find the entrance, but you can not miss this place. Highly recommend this place!”

“Definitely some mixed feelings about this place. Over time things have changed. The first glaring issue is the menu. It’s called the pickled wrinkle. That’s seafood. Aside from a specials board, there’s no fresh seafood on the menu. And the specials are things everyone has and not that special. It’s mostly pizza and burgers. They have a limited cocktail menu that doesn’t really excite people. We had to started getting creative ourselves and ask if they could put things they had together as a cocktail. Food itself was just ok. Not much that we ordered is anything we had to come there for. The pizza dough was thin a crispy but more like a cracker. The one thing that was absolutely amazing was the maple mustard which was a sweet brown mustard. The staff was nice and did their best with what they had. Unfortunately, my final assessment is it’s not worth it. They need to get out of that comfort level and take some chances. They have endless opportunities and it feels like they aren’t trying hard enough.”

“If you're looking for a great place to eat sushi, give Sushi Kabuki a try. In the past, we would come to at least once a week. We took a brief hiatus. There is no particular reason why, we were just trying out other places. Hubby was craving sushi, so we went back to our first favorite place. The sushi was fresh and flavorful, and the beef Bulgogi was perfectly delicious.”

“Delicious crab chowder and garlic bread. I'm not sure what they put on the bread but it is so good! My most recent visit was better than some because there was outdoor seating available. In the past there were a few stools along the outside of the shop but if those were taken, you had to go find a place to sit and eat somewhere else. The addition of the floating seating area makes a big difference in the atmosphere and draw to go there for a meal! The people behind the counter are always cheerful and personable. There was a young girl helping deliver food out to the table and she was just a sweetie! Lovely family run operation and very worth taking the time to stop and enjoy a meal. Small soup with bread= $8”

“If you like an intimate experience with good food, then you've found the right place. A reservation is recommended and very much encouraged (required). I decided to visit Bodean for my first time on what could be one of the busiest days of the year, Valentines Day. Keep in mind that this is also my anniversary to my wife of 8 years. Not only does the day alone mean a lot to my wife and I, but my father who passed back on Christmas 2022 wanted to take us to Bodean's to enjoy some of the best salmon he has had locally. Outside of the two major reasons of visiting, we were excited and love seafood. We had no issues with our reservation and were promptly seated. The place was dimly lit yet had lighting that focused directly on the table. White table cloth, quiet, and a fireplace with a fire flickering nearby. Our waitress promptly grated us with a smile. We simply ordered water's and no appetizers. After a short review of the menu, we knew exactly what we wanted. The wife went with the scallops while I went the sea bass. After a short wait, our entrees arrived. The food was not only prepared properly but looked like art on the plate. Freshness was the first thing you noticed, followed by the simple yet complex pairing of flavors. Scallops were seared with care placed in a light red plate of pureed strawberry sauce.”

“Finally ended up at a place I can order fried clams from. Luckily, we got here early, because apparently you really should have reservations because they get busy and fill up quickly. So, they ended up having some room at the bar for us to sit down and eat. Mikki was behind the bar and she was just awesome. She was friendly and attentive, and at the same time, a busy & a very hard worker. She is impressive… Once we were seated, we were quickly served some tasty bread. Our meals were pretty good, although I order fried clams and wished they were a little crispier, but I never complain & send food back. I don’t think it’s a good idea and don’t trust it, so I tend to go with the flow. The coleslaw was very good. I had a couple of beers and they were both ice-cold. Besides the restaurant, there’s a market on the other side, where you can purchase fresh seafood items to take home, or wherever…”

We made shrimp cocktail & linguine & clam sauce tonight. Every single clam opened & was tender & delicious! We also bought Kelchner’s cocktail sauce (family favorite) & we couldn’t believe how much more fresh it tasted compared to when we buy it at ShopRite. Also, they were so welcoming & friendly. “I wanted to like this place so much. This is my second time trying the food, and it was just super disappointing. The bourbon glazed salmon had no glaze whatsoever and was overcooked and dry as a bone, bordering on inedible, and everything else was pretty flavorless. To be honest, I couldn't justify driving that far for this quality of food again. *Edited to add: The salmon WAS inedible and the corn potatoes, sausage, and shrimp had no seasoning or flavor (zoom in on the pics), so I ended up throwing out the entire plate.
