“I don't like self checkout. Maybe if they gave an employee discount but probably not. I asked the person there guarding/assisting about a discount, why there were not any humans to do this work. Employee had no response / looked confused by my questions. Manager came over and offered to checkout my purchases, I declined as I was already halfway through. The manager said I was rude to the employee and that said employee was underage. The manager said that they were short staffed. I apologized for hurting the underage employee's feelings. Although I don't know what hurt their feelings. Apparently asking questions to which they have no answer constitutes hurt feelings. I'm against the removal of human employees across the board regardless of what establishment I'm doing business with.”
