“I've been looking for the perfect hat for 3 years. I've been to Denver, Nashville, Orlando and could not find the hat that fit or felt right to my personality. Meyer was between the hotel I was staying at for a work conference and Canal - so I found myself walking past each afternoon heading over to the French Quarter for some down time. Walking in I knew instantly that they know about hats. They should, they've been in business for a long time. Also, some of the biggest stars and athletes have purchased hats there. Donald JR helped us right away and helped me choose a hat and then brought me another one to compare. He was spot on with his first choice and as soon as I put it on it became part of me. I highly recommend them. You can't just walk in and start throwing on hats. Let them do their jobs and assist you. You won't be disappointed.”

“Nice sized bookstore located off the canal line. Although I drove to the area and walked around, I know that's a long ride from the Qtr, but worth it. Hoping on and off to sight see while on St Charles helps, when it's not too hot out. This was a recommended store by an English Prof I met elsewhere in the city. It was a Saturday afternoon and they were fairly busy. I still saw staff walking around helping and sprucing. I went a little crazy this time, but they had a good selection of new and used books. I was walking off the UM game @Cooters and a couple tasters @Oak St brewery. They even had comp snacks and drinks and you can spin the wheel for other goodies. 4 instead of 5 stars cause I'm a dog person(jk)”

“Lunch here was outstanding. My group had many things off the small but interesting menu - smash burgers, chicken katsu sandwich, salads, lettuce cups, bork belly. Service was great. Food itself was amazing. You could tell that a great amount of care and attention to detail was put into every single dish - fresh ingredients and how it was cooked, prepared, and served - even the French Fries. Highly recommended.”

“They do have a few dresses that go up to size 24, but certainly not every one, and the ones that do are also much longer than one might want. I went in wearing a size 22 and could not fit anything that didn’t drag on the floor by about six inches. The clothes are beautiful and employees are helpful, but if you are looking for actual size inclusive clothing for actual fat people, look elsewhere.”

“What an awesome place to find that unique gift to always remember your trip to New Orleans. While walking around in the French quarter we happened to find the second Goorin Bros. store and could not have been more please. Earlier in our trip we stumbled into the store on Magazine street (Now reported as closed) but just did not make a purchase. We were welcomed by two great salesmen by the name of Guillermo and Alfred. These two gentlemen were spot on on their recommendations and customer service. They showed us around and let us try on many of their fine hats till we were pleased with our selection of the perfect fitting hat. All in all they made us feel as if we were family and treated us the same. I am so glad I stopped and ran into these two it made the shopping experience that mush better and left us with new found friends and a great hat to relive the memories each and every time I put it on...”

“We stopped in to get a light lunch to take back to our hotel on a Saturday and we were pleasantly surprised by how well stocked this store was given its size. There were a lot of cool things to an out of towner and we were able to still get a very local type lunch even though we stopped at a grocery store. Lines moved fast though the cashier was far more concerned with their personal conversations than with assisting customers. But if I was local I’d be here a lot!”
