“Last market for the year today & the weather smiled upon it & hence the huge crowds! Picturesque setting amongst the gum trees. Ample parking around racecourse for $5. Note: second entry if driving down Coolart Rd from M11. I bungled & entered into the 1st narrow lane for stallholders (despite reading signage 🙃). A very pleasant surprise - after visiting quite a few craft markets recently - to find this one actually had many stalls. Prices are upmarket but uniqueness & quality is what it is about. More variety with the street food here too. Walk around for your cuppa - I had excellent hot choc from the chirpy ladies at Mr Ed's Coffee Bar. Just a great day out here with buskers providing live music to add to the charm. Kids seemed to be enjoying it - there's also a playground in the middle to keep them happy. Lots of seating around with padded upturned milk crates which makes it conducive to hanging around longer. Not a place to wear your designer footwear- it is pretty dusty! Toilets are kind of obscured - ask stallholders.”

“Located inside the Mornington Village Shopping Centre, plenty of undercover parking under the building. Lifts from the CarPark to get you inside the store. One of the larger stores and typical ALDI layout with fairly wide aisles, brightly lit and clearly displayed products. Large than the average ALDI, there are a range of sometimes heavily discounted catalogue specials that may have run out in other smaller stores. We purchased a few items that had run out in are local store several weeks ago.”

“As far as woolies go it’s a good one. Not usually too busy, but still specials if you shop at the right time. Staff are mostly great, does suffer from a high number of younger employees who are perhaps not as helpful with items or slow at checkouts, but like most of the village it has a great vibe. Unless you want something specific and weird it has everything.”
