Baba deep Singh ji, one of the top devotee in Sikh religion, under the shadow of Shri guru gobind Singh ji fought bravely to save the destruction of Shri darbar sahib( golden temple) against mughals in 18th Century. Defeated the mughals single handly and in between baba ji was beheaded by mughals but with the blessings of Guru gobind Singh ji, babaji placed his head on his hand and after fighting devinely from the distance of 40 kms, babaji finally offered his head at this place and made his way to heaven. Holy place to pay obeisance.”
