Desert is very good too.”

“A cute and quaint spot for breakfast or lunch. The food is “ok” and a bit pricey. The Cinnamon Roll pancake and the okra are delicious. Grits are a no-go for us. I believe they added some kind of cottage or ricotta cheese to them. I ordered a biscuit on the side ($4.75) and was very disappointed. Going to give lunch a try next time.”

“I have been coming to Cafe 209 since my late teens, and I am 40 now. This was my first time to the present location and I am so glad that I finally did! The food was just great as it always has been. Those first bites brought me back to my teens and early 20s living downtown. I even took a pic of my food, sent to my dad and he was there the next day eating and thanking me for it!”

“The people in this restaurant are absolutely great! Friendly, polite, and just make coming here a joy. The food is fabulous and you will not be hungry after eating. The manager came over, what a joy she is, to check on how we were doing. Truly a leader, a spotless restaurant, great food, and happy employees! We have visited other Fried Green Tomatoes, but Russell out does them all. Thanks ladies for the wonderful experience!!”

“The chicken Philly is wonderful!! I found out why: they bake the bread/Buns on site every day! The bun for the Philly is soft, thick, but not overly so, and it makes this sandwich divinely delicious. Service is great, and the restaurant is always clean. We also love the catfish (grilled or fried), and don't forget the strawberry shortcake.”

“We secured this location for my daughter's Graduation and it was PERFECT!! We had 20 guest. The set up was in a private room with enough space for everyone to move around. The decor was nice and cozy, cleanly and staff was amazing! They were sooo accomodating. We had a whole photo shoot on the stairs...lol! We ate family style at each one of our tables which set the atmosphere. The food was seasoned well and had vegetarian options. We had fried chicken, ham, green beans, broccoli, rice, mash potatoes, gravy, black eye peas and macaroni salad, biscuits with deserts and drinks of your choice!! If you desire good food, good atmosphere, cleanliness and great accomodating staff then this is your place!!! We will definitely be back for graduation #2!! #GSGrad22”

“I had french fries, grilled chicken wings, and a vegetable salad. The fries were fried to a crispy texture and didn't feel greasy. The chicken wings were tender with a crispy grilled skin, and the seasoning was just right. They were so good that I couldn't stop eating even after having more than a dozen. Finally, I had a vegetable salad, which was my healthy choice as I'm still trying to lose weight.”

“A very nice American Chinese takeout place! They have a very limited menu which alone tells me that places good. They used to be another Chinese restaurant earlier at the same spot called Chinese Buddha, which was terrible. “It was mine and my Husbands first time there. We went around brunch time. Service was attentive and very kind. The atmosphere was elegant the tables and chairs were even nice. R&B was playing there is a hookah bar, it was a whole vibe in there. There is a large party/VIP section it looked awesome. The bartender was so sweet and on top of her game. THE FOOD!! 🤤🤤 OMG THE FOOD!! they really do stand up to their name. Absolutely Phenomenal! The recipes are on point and the cooks are cooking with love back there! I recommend the Gumbo&Grits for brunch. But the blue crabs where just as good!”

“Well worth the drive from Beaufort. The seafood omelette was absolutely loaded with shrimp and deviled crab. The biscuits were easily in the Top 3 of any I’ve ever had. The crab stew was pure bliss. We’ll definitely be back. Service was a little slow; but, they were busy on a Saturday morning.”
