“Judging from the reviews of this place we were quite worried it was going to be too much. I would definitely advise people to come here on an empty stomach. Food was tasty and they certainly knew how to present what they were serving. I didn't really like that all of our fish dishes had been puréed. We were slightly disappointed to find out that each table was receiving a different menu too which made it difficult to keep some of their dishes up to standard. Over all we certainly enjoyed our time here.”

“Good restaurant where locals go to eat. Meals are good and well prepared. Combine this with Trieste-relative very good price and you have a winner. Much better experience then going to fancy town center restaurants. We ate antipasti mix of fishes followed by excellent spaghetti vongole. After that we tried fun&tasty kadaif shrimps and sword-fish with calamari meal. Sword-fish was good, tender and super tasty. Also, lemon ice was something to try after a few drinks. Overall good place with even better value for money reward. Locals were helpful and eager to share their experience and tips. And finally if anyone wonders place has indoor as well as outdoor seating places.”

“I often go to Cemut, it is a very pretty place inside the historical Ghetto that remembers a tipical friulian tavern (with a dehors). People is nice and the place is clean. Very good also for tourists for the wide and selected choice of wines and food from the friulian backcountry”

“Very nice people and great wine! Beautiful estate. We had a tour with wine tasting in the end and absolutely loved it! Our tourguide even spontaneously did the tour in English for me even though we had booked and Italian tour. Would definitely recommend coming here!”

“The restaurant is welcoming and quite fun with music and it's lively and nicely furnished. The starters (croquetas and panko prawns) were really tasty. Tonnarelli with clams were nice but compared to other local restaurants, the portion of pasta was small although there were enough clams. The octopus was tender but the sweet potatoes were cold and the bread at the bottom of the octopus was soggy. It is on the pricey side. But then all of Fregene is!”

“Run away from this hotel. The staff short hair with eyeglasses is horrible. No service mind. We came in 7 including 3 kids (young kids) tired from the day. She responded not in a service minded way. We had the booking, decided to leave the hotel without checking in. She said ok thank you too.”
