The only criticism is that I think is too expensive for the size of the tapas. Portions are very small for all dishes. We would have ordered more if it wasn't for the price of the dishes.”

“Night 1 In Biarritz and this was closest to our hotel. What a gem of a find!!!! It is visited mainly by locals. They have a menu in English and the gentleman who served us was quick, polite and funny! His recommendations worked like a charm and the food was incredible. What a fabulous start to the holiday! “What a fantastic dining experience! While in Nice we wanted to mix up the cuisines and stumbled upon Chez Mireille while searching. Having been to Spain I do miss paella a lot. But this blew away all my expectations. It was the best paella I've ever had with quality seafood and generous portions. Even though the food was delicious, that was not the best part of our dining experience - it was the exceptional service! The owner was lovely and took fantastic care of us throughout the whole night. We are always anxious when dining out with a baby, but she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, make us feel at ease, and provided the baby love and entertainment. We cannot recommend this place enough!!”

“Really great restaurant hidden away on a small side street. They serve tapas style dishes, great for sharing. We all especially loved the panisse, a local speciality, the beef meatballs and fish pie, and everything else we ordered was excellent. They also offered a côte de boeuf for two. The service was excellent and the place had a laid back and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!”

“Lovely little place to stop off for some good quality food. We had the beef croquettes, patatas bravas, risotto and duck with the chocolate dessert. Each plate was delicious, the highlight for me was without doubt the lamb risotto, very flavourful! The portions are a tad on the small side, however my fiance and I are big eaters, so probably says more about us than anything!”

Such a find on a dusty road out of a small village away from main roads. But a mark comes off because ( and I know I am in France and perhaps have to live with it) a large receptacle of dead cigarette butts close to our table. Not pleasant.”

“The place is very cozy and has very good food, service was nice, even though we arrived with no reservation and in peak hour. Also they don't close at mid day as most of the restaurants, so that is definitely a plus. I recommend the escargot and the onion soup.... Delicious. Also the meat is good and very well served. It's on the old part of Lyon so it's a great place to have meal or dinner after a long walk through the city and you have many monuments nearby. Definitely I would come back to taste more of the menu they offer.”
