地舖, Car Po Commercial Building, G/F Car Po Commercial Building 18-20, 18-20號 Lyndhurst Terrace, Central, Hong Kong

“The food was really good - nice range of choices. The alcohols were quite good as well - both sake and beer. However, the staff insisted to give us three a small table for two people (which we had made a booking beforehead) - and it already showed that (regardless of how slow we ate) the table won’t be able to hold all the food that we ordered. The vibe was good though - but the music was sometimes too loud.”

“I ate here several times during my stay in Hong Kong. I can see why people wait and queue to be seating. Very friendly and helpful owner, good menu selection, and tasty food. My noodle soup could have fed a small family of four. 😂 I was very tasty, so I tried to finish it, but easily left half a bowl of noodles. The owner speaks English, but the menu is easy to follow.”

“I ordered a Golden HK Egg Puff, it was very crispy on the outside while it is soft on the inside. The salted egg yolk adds the unique flavor and saltiness to this local sweets, the combination of sweet and salty is pretty well balanced. I am impressed that this store has different flavors for their egg puffs and waffles. It is quite interesting to see sweet (original), sour, salty, bitter, and spicy options. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to try them all, but I would recommend you to come here with friends and families to give them all a try. I went around 6 pm on a weekday. The wait was about 15-20 mins. There are also some food stalls around that you can buy drink or food while you wait.”

“Current limited edition ramen is yuzu flavoured! We got the classics, very thick broth, noodles on the thick and chewier side… they were kind enough when I asked for extra soup! I found it cute that the shop staff were speaking japanese (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎) they accept e-payments, we paid with master card…”

“Such an interesting little “food truck”. The first time I came here, the souffle was cold. I gave it another chance and this time the souffle is hot! The matcha souffle has a stronger cream cheese flavor. If you dont like cream cheese, this isn’t really for you. Overall, the desserts and the prices are very good.”

“I would have to say they deserve the best pizzas award more than words can describe. Not a joke I knew this place for years just until recently I decided to go try out. The pizza dough itself is full of smoky flavour with texture close to naan. I don't want to write 1000 words on what they taste like, it's the old saying eating is believing! See the pic then”

Hong Kong, Causeway Bay, Canal Rd W, 10號, Top View Mansion, 1樓A室

“An interesting hotpot eatery decorated with 4 different interior styles, literally Chinese, French, Japanese, and Turkish. We dined at the Turkish section and had a good first time experience. Food & choices: 5/5, many soup broth base for you to choose. We had the chicken and fish maw one, it was super tasty and comforting. The smoked beef neck was soft and tender, and served with a gimmick way when came. Service: 4/5. Dressed as pilots, the staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Revisit: yes, another time.”

“One of my local friend took me to this restaurant and I was quite disappointed. Although the atmosphere was great, the food was mediocre and the service was poor The lady server was rude, had an attitude and took the wrong order. The Frites fried chicken and the kids’ fish and chips were tasteless. The portion of the rib special was generous. The food was overpriced relative to the quality.”

“Amazing Ramen place in TST. They have one of the thickest serving of meat I’ve had in ramen . You can customise your level of spice and numbness which was great for me because I love the numbing type of spice. The broth was very tasty and I slurped it all down.”

Susan Chicken Rice

411號 Un Chau St, Cheung Sha Wan, Hong Kong

“Susan chicken rice in Cheung Sha Wan is well-known for its Hainanese chicken rice. Overheard other customers were also their repeat guests. Order is by QR code and they offer customized options such as the amount of rice, noodles and sweetness of drinks etc. Light Bak Kut Soup $48 Herbal pork rib soup. Based on the Singaporean Teochew version which features a lighter broth with strong peppery flavor. Tasted dong quai, cinnamon and star anise as well. Enough for 2 people to share. Sanbao Meal (Hainanese Chicken, Pork Knuckle, Braised Egg) $88 Wanted to try more of their signature dishes so I picked the sanbao option. The chicken was cooked in a sauce made with dried mushrooms, scallops and 20 kinds of herbs. Savory aroma. The rice was mixed with chicken oil and pandan - flavorful but not greasy, not soggy nor too dry. The egg and pork knuckle were braised in lo sui. Both had soaked up the complex flavors of the sauce. Very tender pork meat. Gelatinous skin and tendons that melted in my mouth! Laksa Tsaam Tsaam $55 Didn't expect to be such a huge bowl even it was only an afternoon tea portion! Shrimp, mussel, fish ball and fried tofu all came in double plus half an egg. The soup was rich with a lot of coconut milk. Delicious. Ipoh Bean Sprouts with Chicken Giblets $45 Sweet fat bean sprouts loaded with crunchy chicken gizzards. Mild sauce which made it a versatile dish to enjoy with the rice and noodles. Fresh Coconut $35 So huge! Love the natural sweetness and slightly nutty flavor. So refreshing and hydrating. The seasoning and marinade of all dishes were perfect for me as I always avoid something too salty or with too much MSG. All in all a great place for people who want some healthier recipes of Singaporean cuisine.”

Harbour City, Shop OT215K, 2/F, Ocean Terminal, 3-27 Canton Rd, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

“The cakes were good, i had a sea salt caramel crepe cake and a cheese cake, both were nice and smooth. The taro oat milk tasted wired- a scent of mint (or toothpaste!) which wasn’t supposed to be!? But the service was terrible- one staff wore a mask but pulled down to his chin; when we were there, we were instructed to sit while there were actually a lot of free seats and tables- not allowed us to pick. They acted quick but were throwing plates and cups. Although not needing to queue but we felt very not welcomed.”

“A yummy gelato place in Central. Lots of flavors and many interesting and HK inspired flavors as well. You can ask to try before you buy. The gelato was delicious but pricey. 2 scoops for 85 hkd, 1 for 70 hkd. Self service table, more like a quick eat and go.”

“Highly recommend this place for lunch! I ordered two lunch sets and both are delectable! The sauce for grilled beef was sweet and sour which was great with rice, a rice stealer indeed. And the wagyu burger was impressive too. The curry was so mild and smooth. This restaurant was a beef expertise, no kidding.”
