“I feel the urge to recommend this extraordinary restaurant. I dined there for the first time in 2021 and returned 5 times until today. Every time that my partner and I travel to Italy we please ourselves visiting Casa Sgarra. The three brothers treated us wonderfully with the warmth of an old fashioned host of a typical trattoria and the elegance and attention to detail of a renowned European grand restaurant. I had the pleasure to eat five different vegan tasting menus there. Chef Felice Sgarra managed to learn what pleases me and prepare tailor-made menus accordingly to my taste while my partner enthusiastically enjoyed the classic non-vegan menu with meat and dairy products. Needless to comment again on the outstanding service and welcome from the sommelier, Riccardo Sgarra, I would like to maintain the focus on the food: an incredible mix of traditional, almost archaic dishes that woke up memories of my childhood, exalted by far rooted ingredients e.g. Yuzu juice, prepared in an elegant, simple and modern key. Genuine, delicate-strong flavours rich in contrasts with excellent presentations. The whole experience is enriched and enhanced by different wine glasses sapiently proposed to pair each different dish. The sommelier accompanied us from the starter until the dessert, from sparkling wine to delicious fruit spirits passing by elegant red wines. Casa Sgarra became one of our favourites restaurants in Italy. We take pride as we think of ourselves as affectionate customers and are pleased when friends and family enjoy the experience after our recommendation.”

“Great little find For a bit of variety - this asian eatery has Thai & Chinese influences. Noodles are hand made & the chef twirls them on the spot when they are ordered. Overall - authentic fare & some of the Thai influenced dishes (Thau fried rice & curries) have the expected spice flavour profile. Overall an enjoyable meal @ very reasonable prices. Service is friendly & restaurant ambience is simple but clean. Worth a visit when you’re ready for a change of cuisine besides the standard Italian fare.”

“This place is a hidden gem for locals. It's really difficult to find it as you need to enter inside the garden. There are no labels in front of the place. Barely any tourists are there. Food is really tasty and all classic Italian meals are there. The don't really support English language but you can easily cope with translator or basic Italian so it's not a big deal.”

“The place was OK, in the center of Trani and very convenient if you are exploring the old town. I didn’t like the service, too slow - 30 minutes almost to get the attention of the waiter. He told us that all the customers arrived all together… well it was lunch time! 😂 The pizzas were good but my Bufala was a simple Margherita… I was disappointed also because I paid more. The cheese was everything but bufala… and I’m Italian so I know how bufala taste.”
