“Very nice hut with traditional good food. The atmosphere is very nice. We had a hike from Filzmoos, which took us 1h45 to get there ( in Winter). It was a nice hike through the forest with a beautiful mointain view. In the winter there is a lot of snow, so be prepared for this. You can also get there via horse coaches/sled or a taxi.”

“I am visiting Salzburg alone. It was a hard decision to decide where to have dinner. Luckily this place was close to where I was staying and based on good reviews visited it to have their Margarita pizza. The size was appropriate, dough was thin and very well cooked, tomato sauce and cheese had individual beautiful tastes and the fresh herbs on top of that just added texture, flavour and complexity to the pizza. The service is amazing, people speak multiple languages, it's a cozy atmosphere, music is good, prices are appropriate when I compare them with other restaurants in the locality. The only regret I have is that it is far away from where I live and I'll have to travel to Salzburg again to have it.”

“Great find for us while in Salzburg. High quality food. We ordered burger 44s, organic chicken curry and for myself a healthy bowl (summer bowl). Tasted excellent. We finished everything 😄. “A very local place outside the city buzz, a 10 min walk from where I was staying, in the outskirts of the city of Salzburg, near the Untersberg mountain. Make sure to reserve before hand, since it’s only open on specific days and sometimes have private events. I had to try their specialty, the owner recommended the stuffed schnitzel, pork is usually way to salty for my taste but the dish was absolutely delicious, washed down with a Radler. Quite a good portion, still went for a desert though could only eat a few bites, only to say I have tried the local desert, the Kaiserschamarrn, basically scrambled pancake with raisins.”

“Lärchenhütte offers the perfect combination of food and scenery (smell, sight and sounds). Our drive experience up to this moutain-top restaurant was amazing and we saw grazing cows in the beautiful Austrian country areas. Not only does the restaurant offers an fabulous lunch, it also serves up a beautiful view of the landscape below as well as a nearby farm with adorable farm animals. Warning though. You have to pay 4 euro to drive up. Must be EXACT change, coins only.”

“Good food, but one server ruined the experience for me. We got yelled at for asking for clarification for an item on the menu. He was rude the whole time. I had to leave my group early, so I was told to pay inside. I had to wait ten minutes to pay -despite several eye contacts with the server. My leftover pizza was folded it half and all the toppings got mushy. The worst part was when I decided to tip only a small amount because of the bad service, he put in a much higher amount without even saying anything... I left with no intention of going back. He can enjoy his undeserved tip.”

“If you’re looking for a fine dining experience with modern, fusion cuisine, Paradoxon is the place to be. Located close to Salzburg old town, you could easily reach the restaurant by foot or by car (there’s a huge parking spot right next to the restaurant) Plus points: I love the food here and the way the chef presented them. You could taste that ingredients in every dishes are high quality products and they were cooked by skilled, complicated techniques in order to bring out the best flavors. So great compliments to the chef and the kitchen’s crew. The service team was very friendly, professional and fast with our dishes. Recommendation: restaurant 4-course menu or 6 if you’re hungry 😉 Minus points: ONLY CASH!!! Please prepare in advance. Whenever it comes to fine dining, the wine paring is as important as the food. Unfortunately, there is no wine card for any references or tasting notes so I’m a bit lost. You have to go the shelves and check the wine yourself, which is kinda cool and they have a great collection btw. Yet, I would prefer to have some tasting descriptions, price point on some kind of reading material or at least from the staff, instead of walking around which might disturb the other guests enjoying their time. Despite the fact that the service was very pleasant, when it comes to wine, they weren’t very helpful and informative. If these points could be improved, I am more than sure this will be my favorite place in Sbg for dining out. That’s why I put 4/5 for improvement and really hope to be back soon.”
