“What a cool place with exceptionally good sandwiches. It reminds you of an old timey place, in a very good way. It has the nastalgic deli, supermarket, feel about it. Everyone working and even the customers where all super friendly. The place is impeccably clean, and places to set and eat inside or outside (covered umbrella's). My lord, do they pike the meat on. The bread is delivered fresh daily, they have 12 very unique dressings / sandwhich spreads (check the photos out for sauce list. Check out the Pic of the refrigerator where you check out, it's stocked full of tall boys from local brewers (I.E. 4hands, citywide, vacation dad, etc....).”

“We drove through Hermann today. Doxie Slush was the best choice we could have made for lunch. All of the slushies we tried were outstanding with fun garnishes to tell them apart! They offer flights so you don’t have to choose just one. The food was high class restaurant quality. We didn’t go to Hermann just for lunch but we probably will next time. Doxie Slush was worth the drive from St. Peters!”

They give you a number and then you’ll find a seat. They will bring the food to you. All the water and silverware are by the bar. Bakery items just wait to get until after your done eating. Unless there isn’t many left then grab it. Once it’s gone it is gone for the day. They rotate what times they have all the time so there’s always something new to try. Great gluten free options as well. Definitely will be back again and again. They also have some cooking classes you can take. Staff is knowledgeable of the menu and so helpful with helping you make a decision and feel welcome.”

“The only time I went to Palacana was back in March 2022, and the place went by the name of “Paleterias Tropicana”. Palacana is known for serving homemade, authentic Mexican ice cream, paletas, fruit cocktails, smoothies, churros, and traditional Mexican lunch & dinner dishes. When I went to Palacana (formerly called Paleterias Tropicana), I was impressed with seeing how many flavors of ice cream and sorbet sold there. Palacana is truly a chain of Mexican paleterias with 5 locations in the Kansas City metropolitan area, and one location in Wichita, KS. Palacana as “Paleterias Tropicana” was founded in 2004 and the Southwest Boulevard location is Palacana’s original flagship store. The menu at Palacana has a little bit of breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a wide variety of every kind of Mexican dessert that a typical paleteria may serve. When I went to Palacana that was known as “Paleterias Tropicana” in March 2022, I ordered the Strawberry and Cheese ice cream flavor and it tasted what it sounded like which was strawberries mixed with cheese, but it was almost similar to a Strawberry Cheesecake. The place had good service, and the ice cream I ordered taste great. If customers are looking for a Mexican ice cream parlor with a wide variety of desserts along with frozen dessert flavors that also has a snack bar inside, Palacana would be the place for people to visit.”

“My son and I visited this restaurant yesterday and I was blown away by their customer service, quality of food, value for the money, attentiveness and sincere attention to detail. Selby is an absolute gem 💎. I mean it, she was bright, cheery and helpful. Her beautiful spirit just envelops you as soon as you walk in the door 🚪. She knows the menu inside and out and made great suggestions that took the meal over the top for me. My son and I got a cheese pizza slice with sundried tomatoes, spinach, onions 🌰, jalapeños and cream cheese 🧀 and a pepperoni slice. I also got a side salad 🥗. It was heavenly. The food was so good I began to devour it before I could even get a picture. Sorry about that y'all. The crust is thin so you really get to enjoy the toppings. The slices are HUGE. They cut it for you so you can easily pick it up and enjoy. I highly recommend this spot not only for the bomb a#$ pizza (easily one of the best in town) but for the superb customer service and experience they provide. When you pay them a visit tell Selby I said "hey girl hey" and make sure to tip her - she deserves it. Run don't walk for some of the best pizza ever. You're welcome!!!!”

Southwest market was the first one we tried and the bar was set very high. I chose the select 4 with roast beef, ham, turkey and cheddar. The sandwich came heated as requested. The price was great for the sandwich and I was very pleased with my first St. Louis deli experience. We will definitely be back.”

“We came here for late night happy hour with a group of friends. The food & beer was great and our service was pretty good too. Only knocked it down because they sat our group at the weirdest round table in a room that was abnormally hot compared to the rest of the brewery and when we asked if we could move they said they did have any other spots open for us but it was pretty empty? Since we all were burning up we were rushing to leave but otherwise a good visit. Would probably just request to sit at the bar next time.”

“I had never tried Bosnian food before, and a friend recommended we give it a try. I'm so glad I did! The man and woman who took our order were super nice, I'm assuming they're the owners. We didn't know how to pronounce anything on the menu, and they were super helpful in trying to help us learn. I got the cevapi, which were sausages on a fluffy pita, which was excellent! My wife got the jahnija, which was a lamb and beef stew with mashed potatoes and bread. She loved that as well! 10/10, would recommend. We'll be back!”

Scott did a fantastic job with the different wines. Not only was the tour educational it was a really great way to spend a cold January Saturday drinking wine. “The food here was incredible! Authentic Turkish dishes and incredible hummus. The manager or owner greeted us as soon as we walked in, and you could instantly feel his kind Turkish hospitality. The decor and atmosphere of this place is just beautiful with pieces from all over Turkey! The service, however, was very poor. Our server did not seem to care about her tables. At one point, both servers were sitting down at another table eating food, which felt incredibly unprofessional. Additionally, she gave the other table our dish and then when she realized she’d mixed them up, didn’t apologize or say anything about it until we asked where our food was. Another table she was serving had to ask her how they should order food because she took so long to greet them. Honestly it really made this experience disappointing because I’ve experienced Turkish culture and hospitality growing up there, and this was just not it. I have four stars because I want to support the manager/owner (who was very very kind) but I hope they are able to get servers who at the very least, can pretend to care about their job.”

“I took one bite of the falafel wrap and told my wife, "this is the best falafel I've ever had." Super fresh ingredients, a delicious pita wrap and a perfect balance between the dryness of the pita and the sauce in the falafel (not soggy at all). Also, the guy who took our order took note of my toddler excitedly calling out, "cake!" (We got her a slice of carrot cake) and wrote "cake!!!" on the to-go box, which we all got a kick out of. If I have one complaint, it's that the place doesn't do a great job of self-promotion (you can't really tell what the place is from the outside. It's like the island in Pirates of the Caribbean: you can only find it if you already know where it is). While we have known about this place for years, today was the first time they were open when we decided to drop by. I'm sure if they widened their hours, they would still get plenty of people coming in for their lunch menu in the late afternoon. Delicious. Try it.”

Staff was super friendly and very attentive. Establishment has plenty of seating with some seating available outside. There is a large bar area if you just prefer to have drinks. “So this place looks like a hole in the wall but it deserves a 5 star look. I've tried both tje New York style pizza and the Chicago style pizza and both are absolutely amazing. I went for lunch and got the salad which was also super good, crisp and fresh. They supplied some bread balls as a starter and they are delicious with butter. I will be going back very shortly for the pizza slice as big as my fat head!”
