“First time going here and only the second time I’ve had Afghan food so I’m far from being an expert. Everything we had was delicious! We had the vaziri kebab and a couple of soltani kebab plates. Very flavourful with the seasonings and their spicy tomato sauce went so well with the kebabs. I loved their green tea as well. I think there were some spices in it as well. I detected some cardamom. Lovely experience! Highly recommended.”

“I started with the “sage advice” cocktail. Delicious, but disappointed they put persecco in it instead of champagne per the menu. Service was very good, but a a few times we had to wait for plates while dishes were already on the table. My wife had the “bespoke” wine pairing and I had the “full”; on three occasions we were served the same wine which I found odd. The wines should be different labels in my opinion. The uni, baked oyster and pork belly were all amazing, the Foie Gras with focaccia took the cake in my opinion. We did the 40 bites tasting menu which comes in six “waves” with multiple dishes at once. Food was amazing overall I just felt the experience didn’t match the price tag - which of course can be remedied with small changes. Incredible overall and definitely recommended.”

“Our recent visit to Angelina's Restaurant in Manotic was a mixed bag of experiences. While certain aspects left us impressed, others fell short of expectations. We had a reservation for a party of 10 at 8 pm, but unfortunately, we had to wait for about 25 minutes before being seated. The delay was somewhat compensated by the waitress, who graciously offered us a couple of complimentary appetizers, which was a nice gesture and helped alleviate the initial inconvenience. The service throughout the evening was exceptional, with the waitress being attentive and accommodating. Despite the initial hiccup, the staff's effort to make us feel comfortable was appreciated. However, the real disappointment came with the food. My wife ordered the chicken parm, and it arrived at our table overcooked and burnt. Similarly, our friend's fillet mignon suffered the same fate. Additionally, the pasta accompanying the dishes was notably dry. We brought this to the attention of the manager, who promptly replaced the burnt dishes and assured my wife that she wouldn't be charged for her meal. Unfortunately, the positive impression of the service was somewhat tarnished when we discovered that my wife had still been charged for her dish. This oversight felt unprofessional and left us with a sense of dissatisfaction. The desserts were a redeeming factor, albeit just okay. While they didn't reach the same level as the service, they provided a decent conclusion to the meal. In conclusion, Angelina's Restaurant in Manotic offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with commendable service. However, the inconsistency in the quality of the food, coupled with the billing error, makes it difficult to wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant. Whether or not to return would depend on improvements in the kitchen and a more meticulous approach to customer billing.”

“Finally tried San Marino's a few days back and their pizza lived up to the hype. Had been hearing great things from so many people and I'm glad it turned out to be worth it. Got the San Marino's special with peppers, onions, ham and cheese and a thin crust. The delivery was quick, within 30 mins and the taste was top notch. They are pricier when compared to some pizza chains but it's worth it if you crave a good pizza. Yummy crust, generous amount of cheese and toppings. No wonder they're a Nepean/Barrhaven institution 😀”

“We've ordered takeout once before but tonight we dined in for the first time. We came for oyster night and tried oysters for the first time. As newbies to oysters I was expecting a strong fishy taste but they were very mild and delicious with all the little accoutrements. We also tried the tuna crudo which was good. To finish off we got Vietnamese garlic noodles which were so creamy and garlicky, as well as the Dan Dan noodles. It was definitely a special treat kind of dinner as it all added up quick but worth the price for a nice meal!”

“My husband and I went in for lunch today. The guy at the counter was less than polite, he acted as though we were an inconvenience. My husband and I both got S2 walk in specials we paid $30 for two wraps and a side of potatoes, the food was okay, a little bland, chicken was fatty, we didn’t get tzatziki sauce with our potatoes. I more than likely will find somewhere else that sells Greek near me. It’s a shame because it’s very close to home.”
