The food is affordable (we were going full vegetarian with lots of options, but I think the meat dishes were also reasonable), incredibly fresh, lots of it, and hits the right home-cooking / dining-out balance. Saray has a "nice but not too nice" ambiance, with lots of charming, sort of Eastern-Europe-esque decorative elements (like the wall of fake flowers which I loved, couldn't take my eyes off it). Clean and welcoming. The place was packed with diners early Thursday evening: dates, families, lots of different ethnicities and levels of "going out", plus lots of takeout orders. We were treated kindly and attentively by the waitstaff who we warmed to quickly. Really sweet people, great food, easy-going place and plan to go back soon! Super highlight: highly recommend the Kazandibi milk custard dessert, never had anything like it before and I can't stop thinking about the flavor.”

“My husband and I dined in for lunch at Tony’s on 11/21/23 and both ordered personal pizza’s. It took over 45 minutes to be served! When our food came out, my husband’s pizza was literally burnt around the entire crust. When the waitress came to check us… I explained our displeasure and told her to let the owner know with hope that he would come out. She came back and said he apologized and said “the next time we come, let them know not to cook the pizza so dark!” My reply…. There will NEVER be a next time! Horrible customer service and instead of the owner coming out to apologize in person (he said they were too busy) or not charge for the burnt pizza, he cowardly peeked through the window (we were sitting in plain view of the kitchen) to see who we were and went back about his business! NEVER AGAIN!”

“Great cheese, but the gas price is absurd. And, when I bought gas there (it was an emergency) the clerk charged me for more than I asked, but didn't explain that he did or why. I only realized this when I rec'd my CC statement, and left wondering if I should have pumped more gas. Not to mention, the pump is 'old fashioned-ish' (from the 1970s?), and since most people don't know how to use such pumps a few seconds of instruction might be helpful.”

The oven roasted chicken bone-in was very good and moist. The braised pork loin "Febras de Porco" was flavorful but inconsistent on texture per piece which is a hearty portion but it went between moist and dry. The soup a kale with a potato base was very good. The Home-Style Shrimp over rice with a garlic sauce was dull and lifeless - no taste.”

“Very nice place with good service. Dog friendly, too. We got to sit outside on their patio and enjoy the view of the lake. The herbs on the tables kept the mosquitos and bugs away. Brilliant thinking! Once our food was ready, the servers kindly brought out the food to our table and made sure we had Forks Napkins, etc. They didn't rush us and let us enjoy the nice weather. Wonderful little place.”

“I've been buying Tony's food for years it will never change. Kind man with a beautiful heart. He remembers everyone and understands all walks of life and never judges anyone. Helped me more times then I can count when I was in active addiction and now he always says how proud of me he is and puts extra food in with my order. Brought tears to his eyes the day I walked in with my kids looking amazing he came around the counter with a full blown line just to give me a hug and the boys candy. I guess it's a neighborhood thing because I've heard many similar stories he definitely takes care of his people and neighborhood and honestly deserves the world for having such a huge heart.”

“I went in with pretty low expectations for the Philly cheese steak. But it was actually very good. Cooked onions, steak, cheese sauce, mayo. The bread was good quality but the bottom bun could’ve been toasted more to support the mix of cheesy sauce and the average grease that comes with any cheese steak. No points lost. I’d probably only order this and not pizza although.”
