Adorable area with a choice of picking them by a carton or bag and payment is on the basis of how many pounds of strawberries you pick! Loved the experience beautiful farm.”

“If you have not tried Detroit style pizza before, you might be surprised. It is a deep dish style pizza and more like focaccia than pizza. The dough itself takes over the cheese and toppings. The cheese is not a lot and blended very well with the toppings. We ordered kale salad, broccoli, mushroom nettle and peach pizza. I liked the mushroom nettle the most. It is very rare to see nettle used as food in US, so it surprised me in a good way. Broccoli one was spicy. Each pizza has 6 square slice and quite filling. We were party of four and three pizza were too much for us. The service is laid back and you order and pick up your own food from the counter. There was no one available for asking questions or help. The interior decor is clean and there are few tables at outside patio. The price of the pizza is high compared to service.”

“Very fun and variety rich market square. Quality music can be heard Fridays much of the year. There is a beer Garten seving craft brews from many local high quality breweries, Bar, Hamburger Joint and desert Cafe amongst other food places. You can come and go as you please too. Abbott Square has a quite intimate feel for an outside venue with ample table seating and standing room, pleasant lighting and a very artsy feel. Dogs seem welcome too. Parking is surprisingly good for downtown Santa Cruz. I am a musician who has played there and they provide a professional sound system run by a competent sound person that keeps things under control, not too loud and well balanced. Much dancing occurs at most shows. I recommend checking it out. Thanks”

“Couldn't reserve on Valentine's day, so we ate there on the 15th. The Val-day menu was still available, so we shared the last black truffle pizza, w. a cheese base flecked with small bits of truffle. Then the server shredded truffle slices over the top--OMG--$65 and worth every penny! (Regular pizzas range from $17 to $26.) For starters, we split an arugula salad and a vegetable side (brown butter braised cabbage--even if you hate cabbage, you'll love this). For dessert, we shared the affogato. The chocolate was molded and formed against the side and bottom of the cup, then they poured espresso into the cup. Superb. I said to my husband, "This tastes like Valrhona." You know you have an outstanding server when you ask which brand of chocolate was used. Zach answered, "Valrhona." I use this superb variety for every chocolate dessert I make.”

“I work across the street and regularly order food from here. Pizza-wise, I try to buy the chicken BBQ slices when they’re available, however I normally end up purchasing the sandwiches as they’re awesome. The cheesy sausage sandwich with jalapeño is my favorite, but chicken pesto, parm, and meatball are all great. There is a healthy selection of drinks available. The atmosphere is relaxed as you can probably expect most of the time, however can get packed on nice summer days. The service is fast normally.”
