Initially I was skeptical about their beef tartar because of bad experience with meet elsewhere, so I ordered a different dish, but they were so kind and brought us two complementary tasting portions of tartar with truffle and… it was gorgeous! “Of all the places we are in Florence (and there were many, some great, some tourist traps), this is the one we enjoyed the most. It felt more like an out of the way place where locals eat. Quiet, quaint. Lovely service. A very engaged staff. Prices more than fair. And the food was very good. Seasonal, so what we had might not be on the menu next month. Still, the wild boar tagliatelle was my personal favorite, along with the shaved zucchini salad. Do try to make a reservation, even though it is difficult to call them. Go at lunch and see if they have anything for dinner. Or just go to lunch, love it, and then come back for dinner!”

After seeing this on Stanley Tucci’s show, we definitely had to pay it a visit. I had the porcini truffle pasta and it was cooked perfectly. Very flavorful and balanced.
