“Super tiny and cozy restaurant. If you don’t expect to queue this is not the place for you. I waited around more than an hour (I arrived at 12:00~) and it was fully seated. The waiters are very polite and nice. The Chicken Karaage portion was big. The bits were large and juicy. Middle crisp. As for the Tsukemen the normal portion is not big, more on the smaller side. Nonetheless it was a very good experience! I do suggest that you prepare yourself during the colder seasons. If you happen to get seated by the door, it will blow some wind. 🥶”

“We visited this restaurant tonight that had garnered positive reviews and captivating photos, creating high expectations for a delightful dining experience. However, my encounter at the restaurant left much to be desired. Despite the promising start, several aspects of the visit led to disappointment and frustration. Upon entering, we communicated in French, because we can speak it. Unfortunately, the staff consistently replied in English, creating a language barrier that hindered seamless communication and contributed to a sense of disconnect. While the initial course, the entree, showed promise, our enjoyment was short-lived. Surprisingly, the main course was brought to our table while we were still savoring our entree. This untimely delivery disrupted the pacing of the meal and left us feeling rushed. To make matters worse, the restaurant misunderstood our order and served pasta instead of the anticipated pizza. The other main dish that arrived, a plate of gnocchi, was uninspiring. The lack of flavor left much to be desired, and even a liberal sprinkling of salt only marginally improved the situation. The absence of taste was a stark contrast to the promising descriptions we had read and the visually appealing images that initially drew us to the restaurant. Tragically, the culinary disappointment was further compounded by the unfortunate aftermath. The food not only failed to live up to its reputation but also left us feeling unwell.”

“We loved the food, a bit less the service and the atmosphere of the restaurant. Overall this is a great choice. That’s essential to reserve in advance. You will be seated either outside or in the limited space inside. Big positive note is that you can have a nice set menu for around 40 euros and it’s definitely worth it. The quality of the food is high and they have a nice presentation of the plates. We loved our fish food, including the soup, the salmon and the octopus. The desserts were also very good. We didn’t like the vibe, the owners and the waiters were constantly running and seemed very stressed. Also they were not really paying attention to customers. Inside, there was no AC and we didn’t enjoy being seated in front of a fridge. I would go again but specifying to be seated outside.”

“They sat us right away even though we didn’t have a reservation. The ambience was very nice, the music was not too loud. The service staff was fantastic and accommodating. But the food, THE FOOD! We got the rustic potato entreé (appetizer)- deliciously seasoned with yummy sauces. Then the carbonara with smoked tofu and a pizza with button mushrooms and beyond sausage. The food was so rich and delicious, we were in heaven. We finished it off with a chocolate orange cheesecake that was more like a ganache- rich, moist, delightful. Highly recommend getting there early as it gets busy very quickly.”

“Very difficult to rate this place. This is a tourist eatery so don't expect to sit there for hours over a long French lunch. They want to "flip" your table to the next customer as soon as they can. Food was o.k. but not brilliant... my meat was one third fat and grizzle and it must have been obvious so the chef obviously didn't care. My wife's fish was excellent. Portions were a little on the meagre size. They know that it is unlikely that you will return. Wine was o.k. but pricey. Setting was fabulous.”

Sometimes unfortunately some of the specialities are sold out but I am sure everybody will find something. Pity there is no option to get coffee and sit inside. They sell only to go.”

Only one waiter was serving around nine tables but he was always on the spot. The menu was in French but he spoke decent English.”

“Great hidden gem if you want a change from the bustling restaurants in Cannes city center. Great food and desserts, and the locals like to eat there and stop by when out walking. Daily special was the famous fish soup with added seafood, which was a nice change from other places. The menu changes daily (some entrees may be more regular, like I saw beef carpaccio and frog legs both times). Dessert was great - I especially loved the lemon dessert (can’t remember name so I posted some pics). Very friendly and welcoming server - I’m sure I’ll go one more time before I leave. Free parking by beach or at Parking Jean Correia : plage (I love this spot - short 5 min walk). Great option if you’re staying in Mandelieu or La Bocca, or if you want to step out of Cannes center for a bit. Prices very reasonable, a la carte. Local red wine at 5 euro a glass was a nice complement to the meal. Can make a reservation, but I did not need one for dinner (Sat & Tues).”
