Bloofin
4.7
( 8 reviews ) $$

6615 N Grand Parkway West, # 325, Spring, TX 77389, United States

“My mouth still salivates & my taste buds are still dancing from our recent meal here. While there are many places to grab sushi around town, it's a MUST to recognize the ones that set the bar higher than the rest. Bloofin is one of those spots. Just like the food it serves, the restaurant is clean, modern, and inviting. The menu has an everything from simple wine & sake to specialty cocktails, from basic sushi & rolls to extravagant dishes that include the likes of wagyu, king crab, lobster, foie gras, and uni. Everything if fresh & PHENOMENAL. Can't forget to mention that service is also outstanding, which seems to be so hard to come by these days. As soon as we entered, the hosts were welcoming. Our waitress for the evening was Hannah, and she was a joy - so friendly and pleasant... And, the other staff members assisting her with bringing food to our table were also very prompt & attentive. This made our whole experience extra delightful. Already love this place...We will ABSOLUTELY be back!!!”

Booza

4.7

Open until 08:00 PM

5922 Richmond Ave. Ste A, Houston, TX 77057, United States

“I recently visited Booza and I have mixed feelings about my experience. On the positive side, the ice cream was truly delightful. The flavors were unique and the texture was unlike anything I've had before. However, I did encounter a significant issue during my visit. While enjoying my ice cream outside, a homeless man repeatedly bothered my group, which was quite uncomfortable. Additionally, there was a strong smell of marijuana in the area, which further detracted from the overall atmosphere. Despite the excellent ice cream, the presence of these issues makes me hesitant to return to Booza.”

My favorite is the salad bowl with lentils. Absolutely delicious! My sister loves their rotisserie chicken, French fries, and spicy hummus. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant is super clean and has a great atmosphere. I would recommend to anyone!”

1500 N Post Oak Rd, Houston, TX 77055, United States

“Magnol is located in the middle of nowhere. Drive slow so that you won’t miss the turn (which I did miss a turn, and I had to make a big u-turn). There is plenty of parking. Many customers do grab-and-go, so finding a parking spot won’t be an issue. I came on Friday morning (9am), and they had already sold out the almond croissants. But they still had plenty of pastries, bread, plain and chocolate croissants. There was a little of wait (15mins) but I was fine with it because good things come to people who wait. The lady who served me was very friendly and cheerful. I had one of each pastry displayed in the case. I also bought two chocolate croissants, two plain croissants, linzer cookie, chocolate chip cookie, canelé de Bordeaux, and a cup of chai latte (non-coffee). The croissants were DELICIOUS! They had the 3Fs - flaky, fluffy, fragrant. Thank goodness they bake many of them! The linzer cookie was soft and crumbly. The jam in the middle wasn’t sweet. The chocolate chip cookie was soft and chewy, and wasn’t too sweet. The chocolate chips were miniature sized, and they were perfect in the mouth. The cannelé de Bordeaux was super soft in the middle, and crisp on the outside. Yummy! The pastries I got were Mille Feuille, green apple cake, chocolate eclair, lemon tart, lemon raspberry roll, opera cake, Paris-Brest, and religieuse. Puff pastry of the Mille Feuille was airy, light, flaky, and fragrant. The pastry cream in between had the right sweetness. The green apple cake was tart and had very strong green apple taste. Yum! The chocolate eclair shell was soft, and filled with vanilla bean cream. It was not overly sweet. The lemon tart had a delicious lemon curd inside which was sour, but balanced well with the sweet cream on top. The tart shell was perfectly baked. The lemon raspberry roll was good. It could have more sponge though. The opera cake was rich. The chocolate and coffee tastes were distinct in the layers. Delicious! The Paris-Brest was so good. The choux pastry was baked just right, and praline cream was smooth and had the right sweetness. Lastly, the choux buns of the religieuse were soft, and both were filled with chocolate cream. The chocolate cream was rich and tasted good. I finished the chai latte at the outdoor seating area while enjoying the beautiful weather. The chai was prominent in the drink. I couldn’t stop at just one sip. There are about 5 tables outside the bakery, and 3 small tables inside the bakery. Thus plenty of seats for customers to enjoy their pastries/bread/coffee etc. I will definitely be back for more!”

San Dong Noodle & Dumpling House
4.4
( 8 reviews )
Open until 09:00 PM

9938 Bellaire Blvd, Houston, TX 77036, United States

“Food portion were not small. I won’t say it’s delicious, but it was bad and the food portion was fairly big. I like the beef noodle soup, but I would like the noodle to cook 30 secs less. It would be perfect if the noodle can be a bit more chewy. It was a fairly popular place. It may or may not find a table during the lunch and dinner time. If you are trying to find the food with decent price. Here’s the place.”

Deterrence Fireside
4.5

Open until 09:00 PM

3837 Richmond Ave., Houston, TX 77027, United States

“Located on a strip mall opposite Costco, parking isn’t difficult, and there are 2 spaces specific for Yokushi Robata customers. The restaurant has beautiful but simple decor. Staff were friendly and courteous. I was greeted upon stepping into the restaurant. I ordered okonomiyaki, and Ikageso karaage as appetizers, salmon sashimi, beef with wasabi and yuzu sauce skewer, pork katsu curry, and chicken katsu ramen. Both appetizers were delicious. The pork top of the okonomiyaki was crispy and seasoned right. The cabbage gave the crunch. The mayo brought the dish together. The Ikageso Karaage was fried perfectly, not oily at all, and the spicy mayo sauce was yummy! Salmon sashimi was fresh and the slices weren’t too thin. The beef with wasabi and yuzu sauce skewer was surprisingly good. The wasabi added the “heat” while the yuzu sauce balanced the flavors of the beef and the wasabi. Highly recommend this dish! The pork katsu curry, and chicken katsu ramen were good. The pork and chicken were nicely fried. They were crispy and light. The curry had the standard Japanese curry taste. The ramen broth was light but could be more flavorful. I would come here right when the doors are open because the restaurant fills up pretty fast. This is a good restaurant for a simple meal.”

Ashay's Pizza

“I have no idea how this place has so many positive reviews. Either people from Texas don't know what good Pizza takes like or these are reviews from spam fake accounts to make this place look good. Pizza, terrible. Sauce was store bought. Dough was too thick and disgusting. Homemade ranch definitely is a ranch salad dressing from a store. Wings are terrible! Not even properly cooked. Bones from other wings attached. Just such a mess. The pictures don't match the food you order. They must get them online from somewhere. We ordered 2 pizzas for the family with wings and only could stomach eating 3 slices and 2 wings. Beware of the fake reviews and stay far away from this place!!!”

800 Sorella Ct #940, Houston, TX 77024, United States

“My mom and I ate here over the weekend recently and when I tell you everything was everything. OMG! First our waiter was amazing! Priest thank you for serving us, chit chatting, and making our first experience here so memorable. He knew the menu options front and back and gave my mom great suggestions on food and the drinks! We started with the deviled eggs and an order of cacio frites. Both were delicious! My mom then had the smoked salmon benedict. She loved it! I had the shrimp and grits. I'm not gonna lie I was a bit thrown off when it said it came with corn in it but I gave it a try and it was so bomb! The corn added a little extra something I didn't know I needed! The mimosa with St Germaine was strong and amazing! If you haven't already, you have to give this place a try!”

Le' Pam's House Of Creole
4.6
( 8 reviews ) $$

1644 Farm to Market 1960 Rd W, Houston, TX 77090, United States

“This is a hardcore authentic South Louisiana hole in the wall Creole seafood restaurant. The menu is whatever Pam tells you they have when you get there. Don't worry there are plenty of choices and there's always gumbo and etouffee. The flavors deep, dark, a little funky. Service is minimal - you order at the counter, she brings you the food, then you go back to the counter and get your silverware and napkins. There are at least two TVs on different channels and turned to max volume. I you're the only one in the dining room you can watch whatever you want. The place is dirty - the kitchen is in the middle of the first room and the pots are black with rolling fire. Like I said, authentic. The furniture is scratched and old and cheap. This restaurant and Pam herself are right out of Central Casting for a South Louisiana bayou. There may not be another place like this in Houston and for that reason alone it's worth going.”
