“As a lifelong fan of Superman, it was a dream come true to come to his "hometown." The gift shop is great. So much Superman merchandise, including some pretty rare or exclusive things! The museum is a little hap-hazard, but absolutely FILLED with everything related to the Man of Steel! Christopher Reeves cape, Kirk Allen's Superman costume, and Perry White's desk from Adventures of Superman are all on display, as well as just about EVERYTHING that Superman ever had his name on. The huge statue is very cool, and a short walk takes you to a statue of Lois, commemorating Noel Neill! Staff was super (no pun intended) friendly and helpful. Worth the trip to any fan of the Metropolis Marvel!!”

David Davis Mansion

Closed until 09:00 AM

1000 Monroe Dr, Bloomington, IL 61701, United States

“I really loved the history of it! Judge Davis had influence and helped president Lincoln! I also learned different information culturally about Christmas decorations and why the Teddy bear was called Teddy bear. It felt warm and nice. Usually mansions feel stuffy and museum like but this was not the case! They took good care of it and I really loved being there! The people that worked there went above and beyond with the tours and information!”

“FREE art museum on the University of Chicago Campus. They had a great exhibit called "Not All Realisms" showing the influence photography can have on telling a story. Come visit here after you see Amanda William's Redefining Redlining Art Installation where she and others planted 100,000 red tulips to visually depict the impact redlining had on the Washington Park neighborhood. Head over to Roux Restaurant afterwards for some delicious biscuits and gravy!”
