Boom Battle Bar Oxford Street
4.7

Closed until 11:30 AM

Ground Floor 70, Basement and, 88 Oxford St, London W1D 1BP, United Kingdom

“Good atmosphere, I was surprised at how big this place was and how many different activities they have. I was here for axe throwing and shuffle board. The axe throwing was a bit more challenging than I thought it would be (recommend handed throwing). There are different games to play that help to keep things interesting. There were only two of us playing, which felt about right for a half-hour session, I think with a bigger group, you might need a bit longer. Shuffle Board was also very enjoyable. It wasn't too busy when I was there, so I was able to go a little bit over time to finish a game, I understand that this might not be possible a peek times. Didn't try the food, but the buffalo wings smelt great. Good selection of beers at the bar. Definitely want to go back and try the agmented reality darts. It looked so much fun.”

“I decided to try this pub because there was a 50% off food for January. I had high expectations for the pie as it says outside “Famous pies” and there was no disappointment, the pie was very different then any other pies I had before and also very tasty. What surprised me the most it was the big chunks of lean, tender and juicy beef, usually we don’t get this quality in pies, also the flavours were very good and I absolutely enjoyed it. In the other hand my husband didn’t enjoy his burger, he described it as bland but to be honest I think he could go for a better option as burgers we can get a lot better in burger restaurants. The prices are a bit on the higher side, specially the burgers which was £17 and £18.50. I think the burgers costing more than the pie doesn’t make any sense as the pie is way better than the burgers. I also enjoyed my panettone French toast, but it would be even better if there was a bit more sweetness as the jam was not very sweet and the chantilly was not sweet at all, I think it would be perfect if it’s served with some maple syrup. I was quite disappointed as I couldn’t get my non alcoholic mojito, I was informed that it was not possible to make it because there was no fruits, the delivery hasn’t arrived at almost 4pm. Service could also be better as there were 2 people serving and most of the time it took us long to get someone to notice we were calling, despite the pub being almost empty, however as soon as we ordered our food we didn’t wait for long, so the chef did a great job. I liked the experience but I didn’t love it, I have mixed feelings and I’m not sure if I’ll be returning.”

“Canadian travelling to Arsenal for the first time and this was a fantastic spot for the Gunners game. Staff is exceptional, food is great and the beer is cold. The atmosphere is top notch during the game!”

Meltdown London

“I've just moved to London from Ireland and live around the corner~ a friend recommended we check it out & I was not disappointed! Great atmosphere, even better bar staff. Everyone was super friendly + the drinks were pretty decently priced for London! We had a couple drinks, played some League games, and spectated the pub quiz (which looked like great craic too). Will definitely be back~”

Catford Bridge Tavern

Catford Rd, London SE6 4RE, United Kingdom

“We visited this pub quite a few times and both under the old and new management, we've had no complaints. Under the new management, for general pub standards, the food is quite varied and the place seems to be a bit busier, and with a tad younger crowd. The place seems to be more animated and lively too. During the latest visit we've had good cheeseburgers and a great sticky toffee pudding. The food is above general pub quality and the service, quite quick. I'm glad the place has a bew lease of life as a while ago it seemed that it wouldn't survive for much longer.”

“We were served quickly by a very cheerful waitress, she then took our order and drinks/food arrived quite quickly, as it became busier all the staff seemed unfazed and organised tables and chairs without fuss. Its a sports bar with many TV screens so no worries bout being stuck behind the tall guy. Enjoyed very much, thanks.”

The Cornershop Bar

123 Shoreditch High St, London E1 6JE, United Kingdom

“The Cornershop, a most fine pub with a certain Hungarian feel to it! A super place and one of the most friendly places I have been to. Lovely people on the bar, with a story to tell. A true shabby chic, post industrial venue, love it. Not for the real ale drinkers but a fantastic place all the same.”

Boston Arms

“Burgers were good, the chips were smothered in sauce almost like a pool. Classic English pub with pool live sports and no frills. Incredibly male dominated, doubt I will be returning.”

The Builders Arms
4.5
( 8 reviews )

The Builders Arms, 38 Field Ln, Teddington TW11 9AS, United Kingdom

“This great place is just what any English pub should try to be. Good selection of excellent beers, selection of wines, wonderful local custom and great staff. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the ham, egg and chips is truly magnificent. Please make pubs like this rather than the imitations that are all over the country and have no idea why they are open other than to take your money.”

Weavers Arms

Closed until 12:00 PM

98 Newington Green Rd, London N1 4RG, United Kingdom

“The owner is an absolute babe! Welcomed my tired dog and I with open arms and a radiant smile, dog food, and beef jerky for the furry one asking for nothing in return. Very friendly, local pub atmosphere 👌”

Broadway Bar And Grill
3.9
( 10 reviews ) $$

474, 476 Fulham Rd., London SW6 1BY, United Kingdom

“Popped into this bar for a quick drink while the football was on! They had plenty of screens for you to watch whatever was showing and was rather large with a pool table too! Staff seemed friendly! Despite being quite empty with a lot of staff working, the place was very unclean with flies and spills throughout and sick on the bathroom floors! It is a little expensive but I guess it’s located close to Stamford bridge and the tube station so if you’re looking for a basic, old-school pub then this may be good enough for you”
