“There is a gift shop with Olympic merchandise and the highlight of the visit was the tour. There are several different possibilities for the tour, went on a guided tour that included a cart as well as lunch in the dining hall. There are year round athletes training here for both Olympics and para Olympics. There are multiple sports that train here and with guided tour you will get to see the training facilities including the weight room, which was impressive. There were athletes training there so didn’t get to take a picture inside. Would recommend the tour both for the sports and the views.”

“Went over to Oceanview mine on a weekday for some fun activity for my partner who loves crystals. Found some pretty cool crystals, and they also provide a buggy ride to bring you around their mines! The gate into the mine only opens around half an hour before their stated opening time, so don't be alarmed if you see a gate blocking your way!”

“Beautiful 27-hole layout. It's in excellent shape. You can leave your driver at home if you wish - a 5 or 3 wood will set you up fine on the par 4s. The staff is very nice. The pro shop and amenities are pretty basic. Fun course!”

“A very Busy public swimming facility in Balboa park. Is not very large, based upon demand I’d say it’s grossly undersized for the neighborhood. Parking is a challenge, but we somehow still find a spot. The facility appears quite old, but the pool appears modernized. Gets very busy with lessons, Polo games and public swimmers. Needs to be larger, much larger.”

“This was once one of the premier golf courses in San Diego County, now the Ivanhoe course is still intact and the greens are in relatively good condition. The rest of the course is not maintained at the highest level. Nonetheless the course is still very fun and I enjoy playing it.”

“Nice course. Group in front of us was slowest I’ve ever seen and no Marshall even spoke to them I called pro shop they said ok still did nothing. 5+ hour round tough to keep a rhythm waiting 5 minutes at every tee box.”

“Great disc golf course! Staff are super friendly. 18$ to play per player and it is 18 holes. There are discs to buy in the pro shop as well. You can also get a golf cart but that costs extra. You play along side with golfers so make sure you book a tee time prior to showing up. All golfers in front of me and behind me were all nice and loved to see how the sport is played.”

“Tee time at 2:34 paid $2xx. Immediately thought that’s not too bad for how nice of a course this was going to be. Stepped onto the first green and immediately regretted my decision to play here. Greens were in terrible shape for the price they were demanding to play here. Super dried out with hundreds of divots on each green. The tee boxes and fairways were very nice though, some spots under construction… no big deal. Club house is nice, but absolutely 0 signs pointing you there, had to stumble around the resort to find it. Will not be going back. Save yourself some money and go play the Aviara course down the road. Much nicer and almost half the price.”

“Let me just say this! Mission Bay Golf Course and Practice Center was an amazing experience. I haven’t played on a golf course in almost 2 decades and I had two of my best friends in town for the weekend from NYC who’ve never played on a golf course their entire life. We didn’t have a reservation, but that didn’t cause the staff to treat us any differently. We were on standby for a bit understandingly so because they were very busy and booked until closing. However, the team and staff went above and beyond by finding us a way to get us on the course with a San Diego local who loves meeting new people and didn’t want to golf by himself that day. I can’t thank the team at Mission Bay Golf Course enough for being so willing to accommodate us it really means a lot to me and I can’t wait to go back. This time with a Reservation!”
