Very candid honest advice, not trying to sell me things I don’t need, while recommending things to consider. These MIP screw drivers are noticeably better than other hex heads. They soldered on EC5 connectors onto my new car, hooked me up with all the grease and oils I need, greatly appreciate the Gens Ace batteries, and the badlands tires they recommended. “It's definitely nice to have a local soccer shop to go to. Even though their prices are the same or higher than online, I'll gladly pay a little more to support a local brick & mortar store, but... what's with the odd return policies? After buying $300+ worth of gear, 1 day later I tried to return $18 unused/unopened socks with the receipt and they wouldn't accept the return. So strange. Make sure you double check the return policy on the items you're buying so you don't get caught like I did. Responding to the owner's reply: The socks were UNOPENED and still in the original packaging. It is literally impossible to wear the socks unless the packaging was opened, which it was not (see pictures). I could understand your response if the packaging had been opened, but this was not the case. The employee serving me also noticed they weren't opened and apologized saying he had no choice but to deny the refund because it's store policy. There are many other stores that accept socks for refunds as long as they are in the original, unopened packaging. Why doesn't Disalvo just adopt a similar policy? Adjust the policy rather than challenge an honest customer's review about it.”

“Thought this was some older mom and pop shop but when I walked in I was actually stunned to see such a beautiful store. They have low end all the way through to high end for the majority of sports. Their store is very well laid out and very organized. The employee I talked to was very friendly and helpful. Explaining why something is more expensive but ensuring you aren't buying something you don't need. I was looking for some lacrosse equipment for my son and am not super knowledgeable yet. He helped me pick out a good stick without breaking the bank and suggested a cheaper ball to practice with than the one I was going to buy. Felt very confident in his suggestions and was happy for the help! Really pleasurable experiance and will be back!”

I had a carbon bike in need of a minor frame repair late last season and The Cyclery handled *everything* - disassembly, shipping frame to EXOR in Montreal, and reassembly on arrival. Things could not have gone smoother and the bike continues to ride like a dream a season later. I've had excellent luck with other sales and service visits as well and it seems I learn something new about helmets, bikes, or accessories every time I come in. On my latest trip, I learned how to properly size and adjust a helmet, something you'd think I'd know from cycling for the last 40 years but I still picked up new info, making my helmet much more comfortable without compromising safety. Happy to recommend The Cyclery and will continue to give them my business. Bonus: easy access via #6 or #7 bus, lots of low-traffic streets around so you can get there by bike without fighting traffic, and if you're driving, there's parking along Bank Street, as well as side streets.”
