“What a night, fireworks and demolition derby, Great place, prices are steep! But none the less it gave me great satisfaction watching people purposely smashing into each other, so much so I want to be the other side of the fence.”

Thirsk Racecourse Ltd
4.4
( 10 reviews )

Station Rd, Thirsk YO7 1QL, United Kingdom

“A lovely country course with a decent standard of flat racing. We visited in May on an evening of heavy rain. We nearly decided to drive past because of the weather but we are glad that we didn't. We bought Premier Enclosure badges, so had access to all areas. When you walk in you're greeted with a friendly smile and welcome. The entrance opens up onto the parade ring which is typical for a country course. Plenty of room to see the horses parade. The facilities are very good. You have a traditional pub with cask ales, a seafood bar and a vibrant bar overlooking the finishing line. The crowd was sparse because of the weather, so it was very easy to get a seat in the stands but there was also plenty of room on the viewing terrace and lawn. Seven competitive races followed with good information over the pa system. Parking was easy so access in and out of the course wasn't a problem. The toilets were very clean and of a high standard.”

“I have been to a few matches and had a great time every visit. The club has good facilities, a number of bars and good food. The ground has standing and seated stands. There is a well stocked club shop. All of the stewards and staff are helpful and very friendly. There are surrounding cafes and pubs for before and after the match. The ground is conveniently located close to Dagenham East statiion. A great place for a day with friends and family”

Walsall Fc
4.2
( 10 reviews )

The Poundland, Bescot Stadium, Bescot Cres, Walsall WS1 4SA, United Kingdom

“A really good day out. Visiting Walsall was possibly one of the simplest stadiums to get to. After exiting the M6, a very straight forward direct route to the ground, which is situated adjacent to the M6. The view from the outside of the ground looked a little dated, but generally in good condition. There is on site parking costing £7 on the day which is right next to the stadium. The club shop was fantastic, full of lots of different collectible affordable merchandise, with retro jersey’s, a really well set out club shop. There was a bit of confusion with accessing the hub, and the stewards weren’t entirely helpful on how to access it either, which was confusing for me because they work there. Anyhow, toilets weren’t great. Two portaloo’s at the bottom of the Tile Choice Stand. Literally peeing in the dark. Food was decent, and the prices were reasonable. Not overpriced like a lot of other sports ground. Cold and warm drinks are available. Also there was a guy outside with a couple of kegs and taps selling Madri and something else, really quick and efficient way of getting a pint quickly. There was a police presence at the stadium prior to kick off. Although there was no trouble throughout the match. The atmosphere was quiet throughout from both sets of fans to be fair. It only really picked up after the red card. But was still quite quiet, 5 goals were scored too. All in all, an good day, nothing particularly stood out for the ground, but it certainly had a nice family feel to the club.”

Worthing Fc
4.5
( 10 reviews )

Woodside Rd, Worthing BN14 7HQ, United Kingdom

“Interesting ground with new and old components. I particularly found the "no standing" terracing of particular note. The seated stand looks impressive but it is difficult to see the near corner flags, due to posts and other reasons. I was allowed to stand in front of the main seated stand, as it seemed to offer the best view of the pitch. The viewpoint was excellent. The only downside was that it roughly faces north, meaning that it is out of the sun and gets nippy when the wild blows. The style of football is aggressive and exciting to watch. The people are friendly and knowledgable. Well worth a visit.”

Brunton Park
4.3
( 10 reviews )

Warwick Rd, Carlisle CA1 1LL, United Kingdom

“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Brunton Park, the historic home of Carlisle United Football Club, and the experience left me impressed. One of the most notable aspects of Brunton Park is its traditional charm. It's a stadium that exudes character and history, standing as a testament to the club's deep roots in the community. The older architecture and design elements give it a unique and authentic feel, offering a departure from the more modern stadiums you often find today. The views from the stands are excellent, ensuring that spectators have a great vantage point to watch the action on the pitch. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and the facilities are well-maintained, I would image they provide an enjoyable experience for fans. In addition, the staff at Brunton Park were welcoming and hospitable, adding to the overall positive experience. The club's dedication to its fans is evident in the warm and friendly atmosphere they cultivate. All in all, Brunton Park is a gem. Its rich history and traditional charm make it a must-visit for football enthusiasts. It's a place where you can truly connect with the essence of the sport and the pride of Carlisle United Football Club.”

“Cracking ground with a very good atmosphere. Tickets were cheap, pies were delicious and beers were tasty but pricy - 6 quid is scandalous. 6 foot 5 and taller men may struggle with leg room. Seriously the pie was super. 4 STARS.”

Cambridge United Football Club
4.2
