“Food was delicious! Guacamole burger, children's spareribs and a black angus steak 500 gr. Asked what condition I wanted my steak in, medium in this case. It was stated that because it is a good piece of meat, the chef is able to remove it from the grill in 95% of cases. If this was not satisfactory, I could indicate this and it would be thrown on the grill. . When ordering a main course, you received a bread board with home-baked cranberry bread, with various spreads (eggplant, hummus, chili tapenade and of course herb butter), of which the chili tapenade (this was really delicious) was the most popular. Staff extremely friendly, regularly asked if everything was to your liking. Although after indicating a few times that everything was still satisfactory, that was also fine... no big deal... Because of Christmas there were all Santa hats on the backs of the chairs. Parking was possible nearby in the parking lot and it was less than a 5-minute walk.”

“The food is fantastic! The spare ribs is enough smoky with delicious sauce. The burger has special flavor that makes it so tasty and onion ring makes it so special! The best part was starter! I cannot remember exactly what is the name, maybe it is Cajun chicken, sth like this name! It is absolutely delicious. I recommend you to try it. The only negative part was the delay between starter and main course, of course it is not a big issue for us! We enjoyed our wine :) it is better to mention that you would like to have your main course exactly after starter! Do not forget to reserve your table, specially in the weekend! Otherwise, you should sit on high chairs. :)”

“Great friendly service, atmosphere is in building nice but was noisy and a little background music would help. Over al the food was good , chicken wings disappointed because very dry and seasoning was not spicy at all same like the spare ribs. The Gambas was good only a bit to much oil and the herbs was burned. Cream brulee was delicious like the rudbarber with apple was amazing.”

“When looking for a restaurant in Enschede this one had great reviews. We decided to check it out for my husband’s birthday. We were impressed by the interior design inside. It’s gezellig and authentic. We ordered the mixed grill for 2. My husband and I are both big eaters and we were full. We each had spare ribs, chicken, pork, beef, steak, rice, corn, patat, chimichurri sauce, salad. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. I can only recommend. We will be back.”

“Definetely recommend booking ahead as this place is very busy. No wonder-it is THE PLACE TO BE for a great atmosphere, professional staff and amazing food. The service was absolutely amazing, attentive, explained everything we needed to know before choosing from the menu. Always ready to fill up our glasses and to ask if we are happy with everything. I ordered a glass of wine and then we aksed for the whole bottle however the wine did not taste the same-probably because it was freshly opened and did not have a chance to breathe. The waitress offered to open another bottle with a smile on her face. We did not want it and kept the one that was already opened but it was a good test to see the reaction. The steak was amazing and if you are a veggie like me, do not worry, there are dishes to choose from. So, all in all, if you are looking for the WHOLE EXPERIENCE it is 100% recommended-the best in Alkmaar (so far :).”

“After entering we waited at least 5 minutes before someone came next to us. The manager gave his staff a lot of punishment in front of us. We were then sent to a table for 2 people even though we had reserved for 4. Then we were dumped in the back somewhere. When no one had come to us for a drink after fifteen minutes, a whole staff in the kitchen really irritated me with the way they talked to each other, we decided to leave and then had a delicious meal at IJzer. So big minus points for the bears. My first and last time with the bears unfortunately”
