“Harry's is a cosy, romantic place with well thought out dishes and friendly staff. I went for my boyfriends birthday and they were very helpful and friendly. I ordered the lobster which was divine. Melted perfectly and very garlicky. And I am a garlic girl. My bf got the steak and said it was a perfect meal. Everyone in our party loved their meals and while the price saves it for special occasions for us, the food is amazing and the portions are good.”

“Eaten at the Fisherman's Retreat with my Fiancee today for the First time, We went for Breakfast. We have always known about the excellent reputation that the Fisherman's Retreat has and we were not disappointed. Lovely warm welcome we were seated in front of the huge windows overlooking the beautiful countryside. For Drinks my Fiancee ordered a Cappuccino and I ordered a Flat white which was honestly one of the nicest Cappuccino and Coffee we had ever had. For Breakfast my Fiancee ordered a Full English breakfast minus the Black pudding and haggis, I ordered the large Full English breakfast which came with 3 Sausages, 3 Bacon, Potatoe rosti, Baked beans, Grilled Tomatoes, Grilled Mushrooms, Black pudding topped with haggis and a rack of toast and butter. Honestly the breakfast was absolutely amazing Fantastic quality ingredients, Great quality Sausages and bacon, Potatoe Rosti was amazing again it was my first time having Potatoe Rosti it was really nice. Service was absolutely fantastic, Food was amazing, Beautiful setting looking over the hills towards Ramsbottom and Peel Tower. We highly recommend the Fisherman's Retreat. 5☆”

“Love, love, love this restaurant! I've been here a few times, and it never fails to impress me. The staff are very friendly and polite and not 'overly' attentive, which is great. The food is amazing, and every dish I've tried has been delicious. They offer a lovely selection of decent wines and cocktails. “My partner and I went with our 3 year old son for Sunday lunch and we were pleasantly surprised how child friendly this place was considering it’s a cocktail bar. They went out of their way to make a special chicken burger with fries and a fruit salad for our little boy as he didn’t want anything from the menu. The customer service was exceptional. The staff were very friendly and attentive, making sure we were well looked after, especially Emma who was making a real effort to try to entertain our little boy. The meat kept coming to our table every 5 mins and they were very generous with the portions. Parking was also very easy, making the whole experience a very positive one. I highly recommend this place!”

“We had food from the 'before 5pm menu', it's supposed to be £9.95, I think it is. We were overcharged, we didn't notice (my hubby paid while I helped a relative to negotiate the steps) when we got home i had to ring but they did refund the extra £6 on the phone. Still I'm glad I noticed. The food looked lovely. Gammon was nice, pineapple not grilled like I've had in other places, and it cames with 1000s of peas which weren't mentioned on the menu(I checked, I hate them, I usually ask not to have them). Hubby has fish, again it looked impressive but he said it had no taste. Loads of batter to find the fish. The chips left an oily taste in my mouth as well as being overcharged. The staff were pleasant and helpful and handled the refund no issues saying the promotion hadn't worked on the till, though it took forever to get an answer on the phone, it rang and rang and rang. So maybe check your bill. I won't be visiting again.”

“Arrived with no reservation and they were kind enough to accommodate us later on a busy Saturday night and I’m so glad they did - the charcoal grill in view of our table was an immediate reassurance this was going to be fantastic. We had the sweetbreads and burratta to start and then a sirloin and ribeye with a side of chips and a salad, and all was absolutely stunning. The steaks were cooked to medium rare perfection, the chips were the exact right balance of crisp and fluffy, the salad was simple but ideal for cutting through the richness. The service was warm and personable, and they were kind enough to cap off our meal with a limoncello on the house. Flawless experience, I can’t wait to return!”

It’s hails from Argentine, it’s technically an all you can eat establishment, you chose your vegetables, salads firstly then the meats is carved up and served to you, all sorts of meats are served, and it will served to you until you say your stuffed. The meats are so tasty, delicious and freshly cooked and served to you by the friendly servers, you will not be disappointed, vegetarians are fully catered also , so you will not miss out, the desert is also on the same tune, which is carved pineapple and ice cream, this is based on the assumption you have left enough space for desert. This is a great place to eat out, especially if you love meats, I definitely recommend and will return, making sure I fast for a day before attending.”

“Went here today in the sun and it was lovely! Not a bad price on the food considering it’s a large portion! I had the Travellers Burger with no relish but hot sauce instead and it was a lovely kick! The other half had a Med Veg Lasagne and I was blown away by it, the size was massive the chips were excellent really amazing flavour! Good choice of alcohol, lovely seats outside and a large car park! Definitely worth a try!”
