“So, I have to say me and my fiance had different opinions about the food here. My fiance had the Entrecote and he liked it. I ordered “the classic of the moment” and asked for it to be cooked medium well, but when I got the beef it was almost burned and black!! But I can say french fries and profiteroles were so tasty. Service was good and staff were welcoming. But in generall I had much better french food in the past!”

“We went by chance to Ô Cocher. I had the daily menu with a tomato salad with goat cheese and a pintade as main, followed by a limoncello tiramisu. My wife went for the burger and the brioche perdue. Everything was delicious. The menu was affordable at 18 Euros for both starter and main. The space was a bit small, but service was good. Notable is that the server spoke French, English and Spanish. Quite unusual for Paris.”

However, the staff explained it in English so kindly, and there was no problem with communication at all. And when we ordered meat for 4 people, they explained that we could order it properly so that we wouldn't overpay, and we were very satisfied. We plan to visit often during our stay in Paris. 👍”

“Visited „Le Blé Coeur“ with family and everyone enjoyed it. We booked a table early on and the place was full so make sure to reserve before hand. Flexible for vegetarian by adapting menu meals but the menu does not have proper vegetarian dishes. I would come back to this place if I‘m passing in this area again.”

“Small traditional French brasserie placed in the 2nd. Weekends are closed so you better rush and book specially on Friday nights. Meat is well done. The starters are slightly heavy but very tasty. Goose pate was great and so was their lamb chops beautifully displayed. But my favourite from this place is their aprofiteroles with ice cream inside. You can ask for an additional dark chocolate sauce. Do save some space for desert.”

“Here we go ….. 1) Tiny place, likely 30 seats (you eat on your neighbors knees) and 3 staffs 2) Very popular place as no booking no seating but 95% are tourist (as nearby Le Louvre) 3) First impression so so especially had to wait +10mns placing our orders … 4) Food wise is okay. Price is high but tasty food with familial portion. The “Os a moelle” was very good, the “pate en croute” dry, the blanquette was very good but slightly salty and my Hachis Parmentier tasty. However the desert were not what we expected. The “crème brûlée” was too sweet (too much caramel and not warm) and the profiterole was okay but the choux was standard and the chocolate not warm. 5) Bottom line, I believe this place lives on the name of JF Piège but I can foresee people walking out and thinking the quality / service does not value the price tag (207€ for 2pax). Last but not least 2, 19€ for a Côtes du Rhône glass is a bit too much :-) Typical place were you go with expectations as JFP behind but falling short the promises.”

“I had the steak in a mushroom sauce, it was amazing, the steak was medium rare, the mushroom sauce was mild but with so much flavor when paired with the steak. Even though there was a salt and pepper shaker on the table , I did not need them, when I had small steak bites it had these little bits of salt that would complement the steak and it would be like little explosions of flavored heaven in my mouth. The mashed potatoes-amazing also. It was a lot of food, I got full 3/4 into the meal, however I felt I had to eat most of it. Great service, very attentive , I definitely recommend this restaurant. I give it a 10 out of 10.”

“We booked this restaurant as we were staying in the hotel for a few days on our visit to Versaille. The hotel and restaurant are beautiful. Staff are friendly but for a restaurant of this calibre, very understaffed. Understaffing is a general theme of many businesses around the world, however, it shouldn’t be an issue in a restaurant in this class. That being said with the service as is, it limits its ability to achieve those coveted Michelin stars. Wine/champagne services was slow. On many occasions customers either poured their own or had to be prompted to refill their glasses. When it was poured they poured too much which caused it to be warm by the time it was consumed. We chose the Prestige tasting menu which was a 9 course tasting menu. I’ll point out only a few courses. Abnormally long waits between courses. Almost uncomfortably long. Might be short staffed (UPDATE: confirmed staffing shortage with the chef) We waited 30 min between course 4 and 5 out of 9 courses. We had to prompt the waitress who said she would go ask with the chef. The 5th course - that we waited for, was not worth the wait as they rushed presentation. The artichoke with the ricotta cheese again felt out of place with the sour berries and barley. The beef itself was flavourful, cooked to a perfect medium rare and went well with the sauce of cardamom and barley. Main waitress who served us agreed that too many flavours were added in the main course of beef. Also agreed with too much time between the courses. We asked them to speed up, which is not something I have ever had to do for a tasting menu. This was probably my 40th tasting menu and so I’ve never experienced it before. We got to meet the chef Gabriele Raviosa, a 35 year old chef with lots of energy and passion. He was really nice and will certainly go places. It’s not easy running a restaurant without all the staff that you need to provide the experience. So kudos to him for keeping it together as much as he did without the staff required. With better service and working on some of those flavour combinations this could easily be a 5/5”
