“Rokerij is such a unique experience when it comes to the food! This spot is great for date nights, nice dinner with friends, and even out-of-towners. The food is always impeccable with a smoky feel to it. And the Green Chili Potato is a must! I will say, the service at Rokerij is OKAY, but nothing to write home about for the cost of the dinner and atmosphere. I have been several times now, and each time, I truly wish the server would have given us a bit more love and attention. But, it wasn’t a horrible or bad experience by any means. Just something to keep in mind when making plans there for the evening or day.”

“For all the hype, the experience of eating at J&G is incredibly lack-luster. The staff is incredibly enthusiastic and friendly, and the service was exceptional. There was live music in the bar area, which at first seemed great. However, we were seated fairly far away and the music was still so loud it was difficult to carry a conversation at the table without constantly asking each other to repeat what was just said. The menu is really why this steakhouse is not my favorite. Nothing on this menu stands out as signature to the restaurant or special. We may as well have eaten at Outback for a quarter of the price. The kids menu is incredibly basic: pasta, grilled cheese, chicken. There are no options for children to have a high quality meal unless you order from the adult menu. We got the chilled shellfish platter to start. It looked lovely, but really was not great. The condiments were lacking and overall this dish was a disappointment. At our table we got the salmon and two different steaks Oscar style, grilled asparagus and roasted mushrooms. Everything was cooked alright, nothing was over the top delicious. We passed on desert as nothing really stood out. Overall, we had a nice time and decent food, but we will not be returning. This restaurant did not impress. There are plenty of other options in the area that have the wow-factor this restaurant is missing.”

“Nice place. Seemed like a lot of the locals where there. Staff was very friendly. Food was good but nothing spectacular. I had the fish tacos but they were “build your own” in that I was given a piece of salmon to device up in my three tacos and then add the sauces and cheese to it. Not really an issue, but just kind of odd. The Mac and cheese was also good. My wife had the stroganoff and that was better than the fish tacos. The orange hazy beer I had was very good. Prices were reasonable.”

“Most of the food was good. Calamity was disappointing. Rubbery, sparse and they put too much spice on it. Good prime rib, not amazing. Under cooked on one side, over cooked on the other, they tried to hide the overcooked side. I ordered medium, leaning more toward medium rare. They offer nice military discount, a free dessert for special occasion. Only real weak area was the server. The assistant was great for the most part. But an attentive restaurant will never let a guests glass go dry. The server kinda vanished. Not bad just little improvement, little better.”

“Food was nothing to write home about. I found out this place is owned by Sodexo, the food distribution company for the university food courts. So basically overpriced cafeteria food. However, Jordan who works the bar did an incredible job. Top notch service.”

“We had passed this restaurant on several occasions and finely got a chance to dine there. Loved the ambiance. The service and the food were absolutely phenomenal. Our server was so sweet. She went above and beyond to make our special dinner even more special. We sat under the tree which was a cool vibe. They have lots of gluten free options. And our sever made extra sure to let us know what could be made gluten free .”

“Little chilly in this big space but nicely decorated with different aspects of Latino flare. Deliciously hot food and highly accommodating chef. Wait staff is absolutely darling but think again a bit short handed (eg instead of being able to check in as frequently, sometimes need to wave down). Highly recommend the squid ink risotto-esque octopus, even if just for the risotto.”
