No disappointment anywhere. Even if you are preferring to live on a meat free diet, treat yourself with a cheese schnitzel and Kraut. The original Austria Stiegl Beer is a delight too. Non alcoholic Almdudler is another great alternative. You should plan your visit and book a table before, otherwise is there a good chance that you will be sent away again. It's a pretty popular place.”

“Probably the best steak I’ve ever eaten in my entire life! So tender and juicy (and I requested to have it cooked well done). Very flavorful. The fries were perfectly seasoned. The salad was delicious as well. I also ordered a blondie and tea! The atmosphere was very lively for a Saturday night. Perfect for solo dinner, date night spot or an evening out with friends. Will definitely come again next time I am in Stockholm.”

“We just had our NYE dinner here. The NYE menu existed out of 5 courses for 1095 sek. If you wanted the accompanying wines it was 695 sek extra. The atmosphere is great, old classy tavern vibes. The food was okay to good. The taste of each ingredient on your plate fitted with the rest. However, I’m not complete convinced that it justifies the price. But as it was New Year’s Eve, I guess we also paid for this special night. I’m not familiar with Swedish hospitality as we’re visiting here, but it seemed the staff wasn’t specifically happy to be working on NYE. All combined a 4/5. Nice food and a nice setting for Stockholm’s oldest restaurant.”

“Very tasty meat fondue (which is all you can eat - they'll refill it if you need) and a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Service was a tiny bit slow with only two wait staff for the whole restaurant but the food came out quickly. Drinks menu on the small side.”

“I usually avoid steak at the restaurant as many restaurants cook an underwhelming steak, but this time I decided to try their plank steak, and I was blown away. The first sign that I was in for a treat was that they did not ask for a doneness, which is how it should be as there is only one way to cook steak properly, which is rare. The steak was so tender I had no use for their steak knife. Their béarnaise was also really good and so were the accompanying pomme duchesse. I asked for a wine recommendation and the waitress instantly knew which one would be a good fit, and she got it perfectly right! Regarding dessert though, the crème brûlée was nothing special so I would advise trying something else. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely be back!”

“We wanted to find a fine diner place in Stockholm for no specific occasion but enjoying good gastronomy and we have been well served ! Hillenberg is Ekstedt second restaurant in Stockholm and so it is a flagship Scandinavian / Classic European fusion cuisine. We loved the creativity of the dishes, the laser dressed plates and the great wine selection. Service was good as well but the room was a little bit too noisy. Overall a very good address for a fancy diner in Stockholm !”

“Hello, the place is tiny , the reception at the bar , so u had to walk inside then to be seated out , the weird things is u had to order at the cashier then go back to sit to ur table again !!! The food was below average, the appetizers : steak tartare was not fresh and too much opinion , the white asparagus tasteless , main course was salmon I got it cold and when I complain they change it , the kitchen exposed to the dinning so u will be smell oil and butter in the end of the dinner , the host was nice the waiter with white hair is not , over priced for such a place I don’t recommend .”

“Yet another great find whilst vacationing in Stockholm. The food is tasty. The server was super helpful and friendly and the drinks were perfectly mixed. I ordered the burger it was thick and cooked to perfection. This restaurant seats right on the corner across from the Haymarket and a courtyard full of shops. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the fresh air of Sweden. Did I mention the drinks are delicious and mixed well? The prices are well selected and fair especially for the quality of food you receive.”
