“This place is a must try for an impressive dinner. My husband and I have been traveling for a few weeks and based on previous reviews decided to check out the restaurant. It was a perfect meal from beginning to end! Firstly, our waitress Chelsea was really great, friendly and attentive. We started with the pimento cheese and fried gnocchi, both so warm and delicious. I had the pork and my husband had the steak, both were cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. We ended up sharing the carrot cake, HIGHLY recommend, it was absolutely fantastic. Thank you Barred Owl Butcher for a wonderful evening out and a perfect fall meal. We left so happy and full!”

“This is about 30 minutes from our house. Kind of a diner but better than that. We go every couple of weeks. I get the "Dead Chicken Sandwich" a lot, my better half likes the fish. This last time we got a burnt end dinner with pickled beets and mashed potatoes. The pics are from last week, a Reuben. Yum! And fish. I just forgot to post them. I have yet to have anything that is not good.”

“My wife and I were in search of some Latino dishes and went to Don Carlos on Cherokee only to find out that they were closed on Jan 28 & 29, 2023. Their Google profile said that they opened at 10:00 am however, when we got there that wasn't the case, so we were VERY disappointed. I LOVE visiting small businesses because I am a small business owner myself and feel they have the best experiences. So my wife and I had to regroup and find a new restaurant to try that would give us what we were looking for. She remembered that there was a restaurant that she had been wanting to try and have been watching for a few months now, that is Latino cuisine. So we went. Listen people, this is an experience you have to have! The restaurant is right on the corner of McNair in the heart of Benton Park and the staff is warm, welcoming and tons of fun. They weren't weird or awkward explaining the menu and really gave us a complete, perfect experience. We ordered the chips and queso, Black bean nachos, hush puppy jalapenos, and the shrimp and steak fajitas. The food & flavors are so unique while also remaining in the authenticity of Latin generational dishes. EVERYTHING was amazing! The atmosphere, the food and the family feel you get dining in this place is stellar. They are a diamond in the rough. Visit, visit, visit and have some of their signature drinks while you're there that are just as amazing as the dishes. I'm so happy that this place, was the place where we got exactly what we didn't know we were wanting and more!”

You could honestly get full off of the amazing salad and breadsticks but save room for dinner because it only gets better. The steak is consistently cooked to the desired temperature and the salmon is delicious as always. You can never go wrong with their bread pudding but Cindy’s cheesecakes are out of this world.”

“I'm from California and I wish we had a Hawaiian Grill where I live. My first visit I treated myself because I never known a fast food restaurant to serve T-Bone steak and I was thoroughly impressed. The quality of steak 🥩 was excellent. It was served with a baked potato, Texas toast and side salad. I ate all of it, it was that good. My drive home was 20 minutes and the food was still warm when I got there. The cost was only $11.99 + tax. I don't know anywhere else you can go to get a delicious steak dinner for that price and it was served with all the condiments. A cute little pack of A-1 sauce (I never seen before) a pack of Daisy sour cream and pack of butter plus S & P. I will be back to try other items on the menu. Because if the staff can cook my steak order to perfection, I know everything else gotta be good. Job well done Hawaiian Grill 🍍🔥🍍🔥🍍🔥🍍”

“The meal was ok and so was the service. They don’t handle food allergies very well. I started with the Senate Bean Soup and it was quite tasty. I ordered the 10oz fillet and I added the Bleu Cheese Crust enhancement and I asked for it to be cooked medium rare. The bleu cheese crust was far from a crust but a melting of bleu cheese on the fillet. My fillet was cooked medium on one half and medium well on the other. Too much grilling reduced the juiciness of the meat. My side dish was the twice baked garlic mash potatoes. The garlic mash potatoes were very rich. They added a lot of sour cream which I wasn’t expecting. Overall the meal and service left a lot to be desired.”

“Came here for dinner! I got the 40 day dry aged KC strip, cooked medium. I also got the mashed potatoes. A very good steak! It was cooked perfectly and had plenty of flavor. Some of the best I’ve had. Mashed potatoes were very good as well. Light and creamy. For dessert I got lemon cake with fresh fruit. The staff and atmosphere was very welcoming and kind. They recommended things and told me that all of their foods were local to the area and Missouri which was really nice. The perfect place for anniversaries, birthdays or any other special event. Can’t wait to go back!”

“The exterior of this place does not look like what you would expect for a top chop house, but this is a perfect example of “don’t judge a book by the cover”. The moment you enter you can see it is everything you expected plus more. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Our server, Terra, was delightful. She was very helpful and attentive. The food? Oh yea, AMAZING! I enjoyed the Chophouse chicken, French onion soup and my husband ordered the rib eye steak, Mac and cheese, and a salad. The dessert was a spectacular spice carrot cake with just the right amount of delicious cream cheese frosting. When we were leaving we noticed down at the end of the building was a place called Jones Gin Joint. We will be back to check it out. We highly recommend Jones ChopHouse for dinner in you are in the area. Enjoy!”
