“Beautiful exterior, on arrival service staff rather manic and Disorganised . Generally felt very rush with interaction. Sat down and then told that was the wrong table, had to move. Then sat and they did not have enough food menu for everyone. Waited 70mins for mains to arrive as did not order starters. Was so long that wine bottle finished. The beef rump was average- meat quality was ok, over cooked. More medium, the onion on top was good and the sauce very much like intense consoume of beef stock. The noddles was ok. Beef tartar was the better dish, fresh, tasted excellent and nice salad Ambience was felt to be poor; first impression a nice rustic interior but presented itself some issues: very dark-Older folk had difficulty seeing the menu, noisy-Had difficulty hearing each other speak . The manic rush of the service affected table seating near the bar made the atmosphere very much a poor experience . Was considering coming back for Christmas but as had a poor experience, decided to cancel.”
