Tumalo Feed Co. Steakhouse
4.5
( 8 reviews ) $$
Closed until 04:00 PM

64619 US-20, Tumalo, OR 97703, United States

“*not pictured maple bacon wrapped shrimp. We had great service. Our waiter was very attentive to our table. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. My kid gave the steak burger a 14/10. Ribs were tender and bbq sauce was perfect tangy sweet ratio. Husband's NY was a solid med-rare. Sides were excellent as well. Our bill wasn't terribly expensive considering we got 3 entrées, 2 apps, and 3 beverages.”

1111 E Burnside St Fourth Floor, Portland, OR 97214, United States

“(Apologies for my camera, I skate and cracked the camera lol). Went and made dinner reservations online a day or so before. Super easy. Showed up, and got seated quickly. It is a beautiful little spot. The restaurant and bar is really nice. Menu was too good, hard to choose a dinner entree. I got the Hanger Steak with fries and it was phenomenal. Drinks were great. It was about $50/person for food and dinner. Skipping refills and dessert. I would come here again for any occasion! Can't wait to come back for summer time dining.”

Laurelhurst Market

( 8 reviews )

3155 E Burnside St, Portland, OR 97214, United States

“The journey to this establishment, spanning approximately 40 minutes from our residence, proved to be time well spent. Our advance reservations ensured prompt seating upon arrival, even amidst a bustling atmosphere, where the quality of service remained uncompromised. The rustic ambiance exuded a charming simplicity, echoed by a concise yet appealing menu. The culinary experience delighted with its impeccable balance of portion sizes and quality, a testament to the attention to detail exhibited by the kitchen. The libations on offer were equally impressive, and the commitment to culinary excellence was evident throughout our visit. Notably, the establishment maintained a commendable standard of cleanliness, embracing a farm-to-table ethos. It's worth noting that the only minor drawback was the limited parking availability, necessitating street parking, a feature less favored by some patrons. Nevertheless, I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment and would highly recommend it to discerning diners seeking a memorable experience.”

2525 Allison Ln, Newberg, OR 97132, United States

“The Jory is an upscale eating establishment attached to the Allison Inn. Everything here, from the ambiance to the flatware, is top-notch. The food quality is excellent, and the preparation and presentation are professional. They have a full bar and an extensive wine list emphasizing local wines. As you would expect, this is not inexpensive, but undoubtedly worth it if you can afford it. They charge a 3% culinary charge on all food items; when I queried about this, I was told it goes directly to the kitchen staff's pay. I highly recommend this place.”

Haines Steak House

Closed until 03:30 PM

910 Front St, Haines, OR 97833, United States

“The atmosphere and the building is cool, and had some great music. Unfortunately wasn’t a big fan of the prime rib. My friend and I both ordered prime rib, myself rare and he got medium rare. They came out identical, so if they are not going to be cooked separately I would have rather been told how the entire cut had been prepared. Have heard good things from many people but on that particular night we did not feel it lived up to the hype.”

Urban Farmer Portland
4.3

Open until 10:00 PM

525 SW Morrison St, Portland, OR 97204, United States

“Spent a my birthday at The Nines and decided to embark on a culinary adventure at the Urban Farmer for breakfast. Now, calling the vegan/gluten-free options "scarce" would be an understatement—I ended up having a hot date with a bowl of oatmeal. Meanwhile, my non-vegan husband, on a mission to conquer his morning hunger, found his soulmate in the form of eggs Benedict. It's safe to say that one of us left with a belly full of oats, and the other with dreams of poached perfection. Let's just say breakfast was an interesting dance of dietary choices, and oatmeal emerged as the surprising star of our morning saga at the Urban Farmer.”

“Came in for the first time yesterday for my birthday. The whole experience was great! The food is so authentic, the drinks were strong and our server Lisa is PHENOMENAL! She really knows her stuff. Best service I've had in YEARS. I do wish that for the $225 we spent, that the desert would have been free for my birthday. Other than that, the experience was great and we definitely will be back.”

Arden Restaurant Portland
4.7
( 16 reviews )

417 NW 10th Ave, Portland, OR 97209, United States

“We celebrated Anh's birthday with a trip to Portland and booked a table at Arden based on a recommendation from Eater that it captured Portland's local flavor. Our night started with sitting around for 20 minutes with the menu. It wasn't due to indecision - we had quickly decided to open with the oysters and follow with the prix fixe since, at $70, the prix was quite reasonable. It just seemed like our server had lost track of our table. Luckily we weren't starving, but the wait was surprising since the dining room didn't seem particularly busy. The pf menu ended up including three snacks to open, plus the burrata and squash, the tagliatelle, the quail yakitori, and a finishing of cheesecake. Our meal was accompanied by a pair of decent cocktails, a wine pairing, and a lengthy wait between dishes. Our meal stretched to almost three hours for only 5 courses + oysters. We care more for food than service, though, so it wasn't a big deal. In general, we felt Arden's kitchen flourished with original ideas but missed a bit on the execution. Interesting pairings like burrata + squash + nutty salsa and quail + pears + lentils piqued our interest. However, not every dish hit its mark. We didn't even finish some of the snacks (which is rare for us). Anh in particular found everything too salty -- most especially the tagliatelle, which included bacon and briney clams in a salty ramen butter sauce. Some standouts from the pf menu included the quail yakitori, whose strong pear flavor balanced the richness of the sausage and quail, the smoked trout, and the cheesecake. We enjoyed the wine pairing as well - each wine felt thoughtfully selected. The oysters were also delicious, but raw oysters speak for themselves. Ultimately, our experience leaned positive, having ended with the two best dishes. But based on the heavy-handed salting, the chef's discretion with the prix fixe, and, to some extent, our time waiting, we likely won't be returning. This is a shame, since other menu items sound very enticing, like the cappelletti, pierogies, and scallops. We've learned though, that Arden's ideas sometimes shine brighter on paper than on the palate.”

Rancher Butcher Chef

2838 NW Crossing Dr suite 120, Bend, OR 97703, United States

“We came here for our anniversary and had an excellent experience. The food, atmosphere, and service were all great. We were informed that the meals were family style and the waitress recommended sharing dishes, which we agreed with and didn't regret. We started with a cocktail (my wife ordered the ghost rider and I the rawhide), then we shared the warm olives and bone marrow. For the main course, we got the marbled rib eye, the endive beet salad, baked potatoes, and brussel sprouts. We topped everything off with a huckleberry shake for dessert. Very stuffed but happy by the end.”
