“This was our first time trying Daniel's Broiler, and i must say, it was an awesome experience. We came here on our anniversary. We forgot to make a reservation ahead of time, and thankfully, we called earlier that day, and they were able to add us in. The representative we spoke to was nice and professional. When we got there, we were able to find parking. We were greeted with a "Good evening" from a nice gentleman in the front. Told him we had a reservation, and we were then directed to a great seat overlooking Lake Washington and Bellevue. Our server Michael was nice, and after he asked us if this was our first time, he then proceeded to tell us about the USDA Prime steaks they offered and suggested good pairings with it. We ordered the Bacon-wrapped Scallops in Crostini and Fried Calamari for appetizers. The Calamari was delicious, along with the cocktail sauce and Lemon Aoili. The breading falls off the squid on some of them, but it was still delicious. The scallops were good. i guess I'm just used to the average sized scallops because the pieces we got were huge. i had to cut them in half to at least make them bite-sized. lol. but nonetheless, both appetizers were delicious. We then got some warm bread. the outside was a little tough for me to bite into, but it was still good warm because when it got cold, then it got really hard. Then we finally got our New York Steak and Ribeye. I ordered my New York steak well done, but it came medium well. Michael wanted to make sure if i wanted it sent back, but i didn't mind. The outside of my steak tasted a little burnt, but the inside was just perfect for me. The garlic mashed potatoes it came with were good. so smooth and creamy. I just wish there's a little more garlic in it because i barely tasted it. My boyfriend's Rib eye was cooked to his liking, and the Signature Oscar Style topping was delicious. I got a bite. 😁 We believe it was the manager who came by a few times asking us how everything was. We got so full, but i wanted to cleanse my palate, so i asked Michael what kind of desserts they have, and because we are celebrating pur anniversary, they gave us a complimentary Coconut Fudge sundae. We are not a huge fan of anything coconut, but i honestly enjoyed it. The fudge was so good with the coconut ice cream. 👌 Our bill came as expected, and for the price we paid, to the service we received and overall experience, i believed it was worth every penny. We're already planning future get togethers here. 😁 Thank you for the hospitality, Daniel's Broiler. We'll see you again soon.”

“Where do I begin. The staff was super nice and greeted us as we came in. Our waitress gave us some food good recommendations. Two of us shared the mussels, prime rib with smashed potatoes and butternut squash, and a half Green and Grains salad. The mussels were probably some of the best I have ever had. Served in a tomato soup type sauce with baked bread. To die for. The steak was cooked perfectly, and it was huge, and came with yummy garlic butter on top. The smashed potatoes were amazing. Crispy on the outside and soft inside. The salad was yummy and had just the right amount of everything. We were totally stuffed and glad we shared the entree. Definitely going back!”

“Every year on my husband's birthday, we order takeouts from Nell's because it has become a tradition since COVID. This year, however, the experience was so bad it almost ruined the good day and it was because of the bad staff attitude. When I ordered over phone, they asked for my credit card details and security code. I hesitated but gave it to them because maybe they got a lot of pranks so I understand. But then they asked over the phone for how much I wanted to tip. I really don't like being asked to my nose for tips before I get my food as it feels quite unprofessional, so I declined politely. And immediately they had a dry laugh sarcastically over the phone. I already regretted a little about ordering here because of the bad attitude but when I went into the restaurant to pick up the food, another person asked me to sign the bill and there I could write a tip. I couldn't see the point of asking me over the phone for a tip if they would later ask me to sign the bill again. It felt really phishy as they probably think some people might feel pressured into saying a bigger tip amount when confronted over the phone especially before you get your food. I took over the food and said 'thank you' but the staff said nothing back at all. I was shocked as even mcdonald cashiers would have better attitude. I have always loved Nell's and I don't mind supporting a little extra to the staff at this local business but I really don't approve of the way they treat their customers. Respect goes both ways. If you are the manager or owner of Nell's I hope you could change the culture of the business because I really don't want to see the restaurant that we love goes under.”

“Beautiful craft and designed steakhouse, hardwood floors, very clean, rustic old schoolhouse, from the moment you enter to the time you leave, the staff will take care of your needs. The group I was with ordered 3 8 oz filets and pork chop. Btw, I wasn’t a fan of the pork chop until I sampled a bit, amazing. So, I will be back to have one for dinner. For appetizers we had crab cakes and sprouts, delicious. Washing all down with beers and wine. This is not cheap, but well worth the meal and experience.”
