“We had a really disappointing experience at this high-end restaurant recently. It was our third time there, but this visit was a letdown. We ordered four steaks medium rare, but two came out well done. When we pointed it out to our server, instead of an apology or quickly remaking the dishes, she asked us to flip the steaks to prove they were overcooked. It was awkward and made us feel uncomfortable. The rest of our group had to wait while they remade the steaks, and there was no apology for the inconvenience. What really got to us was, after all that, the server had the audacity to ask why we didn’t leave extra tips on top of the automatic gratuity for our party of seven. Considering the service we received, that was just ridiculous. We’ve decided not to go back there again.”

“First…. The restaurant was very clean and well decorated. We management, servers, bidders… everyone…. Asked if we needed anything, checked on us several times. Service was top notch. Chips and salsa were as good as it gets. Oysters were fantastic. Fajitas were marinated and grilled to perfection. Mole sauce on the chicken was done if the best we’ve ever had. The chipotle seasoned shrimp and sausage was great, as well. And… the cinnamon roll cheesecake topped it all off perfectly. Wish I could post photos.”

“It's such a cute and elegant brunch spot. The food was fresh and deliciously tasty. There is street parking, but the valet operates off of tips. It's definitely appreciated when you are unsure of where to park. The service was smooth and pleasant. We look forward to returning!”

“My friend and I sat on the patio facing the Heights Trail. I absolutely love the location for the Heights area because it’s so centrally located between shepherd and Yale that walking is possibly for those that live here. Houston needs more of this. The food was fantastic. When they ask if you want spicy, get it, trust me. It added a nice kick that didn’t melt my intestines and dissolve my tongue. Portuguese and Indian fusion goes together so well. Perfect flavor. I’m a cheese person so I had paneer and goat cheese (separate dishes) and they were tasty, the perfect temperature when served, and a good portion to share. And not like a 40lb plate where sharing is recommended. These were small plates but sharing allowed me to not waddle out of there. I recommend this place.”
