James Blunt has been my Apple Music number one most listen to artist since I was a tween, and 2, everyone asked to have something at a pub. Everything about this place was 20 out of 10. The service, the food, the drinks. I was with a party of all male Americans, and each one said it was the best meal we had for the entire trip. Thank you F&P crew for a lovely time and meal! J.B. “Having driven past so many times decided to just pop in at the busiest time possible 7pm on a Friday no booking. The staff were amazing, and didn’t make us feel unwelcome and asked if it was ok to wait 30 minutes. Drinks were served and we were able to look at the amazing Christmas decorations which were really really special. The menu is incredible, choice is huge the poor chefs!!! We were shown to our table promptly and the whole restaurant atmosphere because of the amazing staff was homely. Food was really good, decent ingredients, well cooked with attention to detail, I will be going again, this time booking to not put them on the spot, thank you so much for fitting us in you’ve gain some loyal customers.”

“We were searching for Octopus to eat and stumbled across this restaurant in Leamington. Very glad we did, there is some street parking at the front , free after 6pm. Food was excellent and we think good value, nice atmosphere, busy and great friendly service, we ordered several different items and a main course, they all arrived nicely spaced, not all at once. Everything was delicious, octopus, eel, chicken, tempura and Katsura. Will definitely be back.”

We had the omakase which was excellent, the fish is cut with precision, and the taste is clean and flavourful. We also had shrimp tempura (delicious) and an assortment of desserts, I highly recommend the home made matcha brûlée. I recommend sitting at the sushi bar to watch the chefs work. Fantastic place and will be coming back again!”

“The service was friendly and the waiter did a good job. We ordered duck donburi. It is advertised as shredded duck. It was large chunks of overcooked fried duck with lots of fat on. The vegetables served were minimal. The rice was overcooked sushi rice which was very hard to eat. A simple wagamamas would have been better and cheaper. It wasn’t as advertised, and it was objectively badly prepared food. The gyozas were ok.”

“CUSTOMERS BEWARE (potentially dangerous food hygiene practices) This was the worst fish and chips of my LIFE. I’ve just spent 5 years outside the UK, and I was looking forward to nothing more than a good fish and chips. Boy was I disappointed! I ordered here on just eat (on a whim, with no prior knowledge) and the thing that arrived seemed decent (at first sight) but as soon as I put the thing in my mouth, my stomach turned. The fish tasted “off”, and felt dangerous to consume. I spat it straight out and decided not to take the risk. Next, the spam fritter. Can’t go wrong here, right? WRONG! It tasted like old cardboard. Same here- spat the thing out and didn’t even think about trying again. Note: the food STUNK. It was like it had been stored improperly or just left for days before being served. Then, lastly, the chips. They also tasted RANK. Old, horrible texture. This place is a disgrace and I would not risk it again. No doubt the owner will find a way of justifying this (as I’ve seen multiple comments from then to such criticisms, where they unapologetically defend their horrible establishment). Absolutely shameful. Expecting a nasty food poisoning in the next day or two. Will update. Photo attached: the uneaten remnants. I ate the chips because I was starving but it took a LOT of tomato sauce. UPDATE: As expected, the owner responded, and tried to claim that this was not from their establishment. False. I have the JustEat receipt to prove it and I left the same review there. You can only review once you’ve purchased. Check out the reviews over there if you’re skeptical. STAY AWAY.”
