“Every time I pass through Barcelona, at least once (if not more) I stop at Asagumo! Sushi freshly prepared, you can see it at the counter, very fresh ingredients, excellent presentation and impeccable and very attentive service. My favorite dishes are those based on butterfish and the hot tartare without forgetting the beef & scallops uramaki. Another dish that cannot be missed is Sashimi Moriawase. Highly recommended!”

“Choosing this restaurant made me feel excited and lucky for my trip. Japanese tapas achieved both Japanese and Spanish flavors, but never felt overly creative or difficult to discern. This restaurant refreshed my understanding of fusion because every dish was very delicious. There was no dish that was overly seasoned and overshadowed the original flavor and texture of the ingredients, which was what good Japanese food pursued. On this basis, it also utilized some Spanish styles. None of the sashimi platters were stale; they were all fantastic. In addition, the dumplings, a combination of pork, vegetables, and shrimp, clearly made you feel that they were handmade. On the other hand, the tempura zucchini and steamed egg were not greasy at all. The handling of oil temperature was so professional. The environment and service here were also great. There was no greasy feel despite the open kitchen and the abundance of cooked food. On the other hand, the service staff was very adequate, positive, and friendly.”

“Positive: Unlike other sushi buffets, it offers the same menu regardless the time of the day or the day of the week when you go. In general, it was quite disappointing. First of all, even though the place wasn’t too crowded, the service was way too slow. Moreover, the sushi rice was a bit undercooked and hard, so the sushi wasn’t so enjoyable. Also, one of the fried sushi came cold and chewy so that we couldn’t eat it.”

“Customer service: Superb , the customer service here is a breath of fresh air in Barcelona, I had a request and they were able to facilitate it in a short time. They were also very friendly. Food: the quality was good, however the portions were a bit small. There was also not much variety on the menu. The lobster roll was the best in my opinion the California roll did lack a bit of flavour Ambience: this place seems to be a delivery spot but has incorporated a few seats to accommodate customers, I usually don’t like the smell of fish but because of the set up of the I place wasn’t able to escape it. With that being said I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place because it has potential really improve.”

“Definitely a different place than what you may be used to! In my opinion the wasabi burrata is a must try, the tequeños are always a safe bet like… everywhere. Corotos are those small round tortilla-like (tortilla as in the Mexican tortilla, not the spanish) with stuff on tops, fish, seafood or vegetables! Dessert… the cheesecake was amazing. With passion fruit if I had to choose one.”

“I understand that there is a clothing correction or rather that you cannot enter with sweatpants at night. Then you get disappointed when you see people with that type of pants, even if they are workers, DJs or others. After changing I was able to go in, there were quite a few people and current music. Note: As indicated above, the DJ, as well as others, were wearing sweatpants (mine was black, unbranded, but it was not allowed).”

“When you enter the restaurant it seems that you are transported to the Japanese country. A bar for 6 people, the chef, ambient music and cozy lighting. Spectacular food. Good raw material, the preparation of the dishes live means that you can enjoy it and taste the dishes for just over two hours. It is a menu that varies according to the fresh product of the day. Everything was delicious, the desserts too. At first I was embarrassed to talk to the chef but as the dinner progressed the atmosphere became more relaxed, a very pleasant evening. It is a restaurant that is discreetly located in Barcelona, without seeking mass popularity and that makes it more special. It is reserved through WhatsApp, on the first Monday of each month, for the following month. In short, a very good experience. Now I can say that I have truly tasted Japanese cuisine.”
