“The poke here is definitely above average. I also really like their mixes. Honest to the primary ingredients and the sauces and garnishes all contribute to the overall taste. But advertising what they are selling as a "bowl" is a blatant lie. The portions are definitely half-a-bowl at best. So essentially they're charging $29.90 for a bowl of poke. This is taking advantage of tourists at its best. I live in the Bay Area which has the highest cost of living (roughly equivalent to Hawaii) and even to those standards, this is pure swindling. Oh did I mention the default "tip" selection for a food truck upon checkout?”

The smell of the sushi when I opened the bag was inviting and authentic (toasted nori and sushi rice) The bowl was a 4, specialty roll a 3.5 because the short odd-cut sashimi pieces draping the California roll, hosomaki was a 5, seaweed salad a 3.”

We were glad to have been seated immediately and our appetizers were ready within 10-15 minutes. Each time we added to our order, we had a very minimal wait time. We came with our appetites that we had forgotten to take pictures of some of our dishes that we ordered. Definitely need to come again and try some other dishes that we didn't get to order. All in all we had a great time there.”

“Hands down best sushi in Hawaii. Gaku was recommended to us by our scuba diving instructor who is a Japanese sushi chef before moving to Hawaii. Every piece of sushi is prepared so delicately and skillfully. Each cut of the fish is so precise and fine. Also must mention that the spicy tartar is extremely creamy flavorful and yet refreshing. The service was moderately quick as well. Currently, it is all indoor dining and plastic sheets hang between each table with only the front doors open. If you are not comfortable sitting with so many people inside, this is something you should consider. Side note: The bathroom was very small and the floor was sticky.”
