“Second time eating here, I liked it even better. This is the only place where I feel the sushi tastes like how I am familiar with. They are good with their fish, either raw or cooked. I rarely like eel nigiri or just eel in general (like unagi don) unless it’s cooked alright but tonight it was my favorite. It was absolutely delicious so was everything else. By far the best Japanese restaurant I’ve been to in AZ. Will def go back😋”

“We ordered some California rolls and a Tokyo roll and a super volcano roll which was a cool experience because they light it on fire. We also ordered the Mongolian beef which was good. For dessert we tried the ice cream mochi which is basically ice cream covered in mochi which is basically a rice dessert. I would recommend asking if you could get them all mango if you don’t like matcha. All the prices were also reasonable and service was quite fast. Overall a 10/10 and would 100% recommend.”

“Loved the food, portion sizes and price. This is a create your own bowl place, so, if it doesn’t meet expectations, it will be your fault. I would suggest they add chef created bowl combos and put them on the menu so you cant miss. Most other poke places do that. Not much service since you order at the counter. The staff was helpful. “I visited twice so far, both for lunch. Service is slow and Arden (the waiter) never said green tea is a charge for each refill. Atmosphere is good. Trendy music is playing but it makes it hard to call the waiter when he is not looking over. Food is what you would find at any sushi place. I had the salmon bento box and the gangnum roll. The food tastes good, but is not special enough to come back for.”

“No curb appeal but the food is good and the service is polite. Also it didn't take long for our orders to come out. The green beans with hot sauce and lime I hadn't ever had before and will not have again. Just not a good idea in my opinion. The sushi and beef lo mein were very good! I will definitely order them again.”

“Delicious, nutritious, no frills good old fashioned food. I’m a fan of Tokyo Stop! I like the #41 #42 and #55 the large Ramen is enough to share. I call ahead 10minutes later it’s ready for me. I can’t wait to try more of the menu items. Very nice staff friendly and attentive. The chicken was perfectly grilled, meat was delicious, rice was perfect.”

“This place gets 5 stars across the board. Food, service, and atmosphere are on point. The food is light and refreshing. After sharing 2 apps, 2 entrees, a sushi roll and dessert - we were pleasantly full (but not that heavy thanksgiving meal full). The entrees aren’t large but thoughtful in flavor and presentation. With specials that not change seasonal but monthly! The service was friendly and helpful with questions. Continuous water and checking in just the right amount of time. The atmosphere is this cool retro building that has been modified for businesses. The decor and vibe plus lighting gives it a sleek comfortable atmosphere. Perfect for a date or special occasion. It also has a killer happy hour on food till 6.”

“First off , service was excellent. The girl who took care of us was super friendly and really knew the menu. She was cheerful and that goes a long way with us. I ordered the mole enchiladas and it did not disappoint . Mole sauce is house made and was sooo good. Rice and beans were super good too. The chips and salsa were a perfect start. Music is kind of loud and more for the younger crowd (us) but not sure if I would bring my grandma here since she would probably not like the music. Other than that we had an awesome experience and we will be returning!”

“Funny to find a tiki car in a desert town, but there's apparently quite the market for it! We walked across The Drunk Munk after dinner on Saturday and the place was packed. We came back the next day to shop and ended up stopping in for sushi and drinks on the patio, it was a perfect afternoon. I enjoyed a pina colada before sushi roll. The patio is a great spot to people watch in the shopping and dining center. Our server was training a new-hire and seemed very rushed through the duration of our lunch. There was something odd going on with the bar I think, because our server needed to know our drink order quickly so she could get them in at the bar. Other than a sense of urgency when ordering both drinks and food, everything was great. Flavors were exactly what I was looking for- a refreshing cocktail followed by delicious sushi. It's impressive to have good sushi in the dessert, there's no water nearby!”

“The tempura was wonderful. The batter was light, the veggies were crisp and the shrimp was straight as a bean, which I loved! The spicy crab roll was very tasty as well. This is the first time we have been to this restaurant. We went for "Happy Hour" prices on the majority of the rolls. It was well worth stopping in and we will go back more often. We've tried 3 other places in the Gilbert/Chandler area, this is the favorite. We had wonderful sushi in the state where we previously lived, so we've become picky on what we like. This place passes.”

“Inside felt cozy & welcoming. I came in for take-out about 20 min before close & they were accomodating, staff was pleasant & personable. I ordered a firecracker, monkey balls, & baked Dynamite roll. The Firecracker was surprisingly bland.. like it needed a dipping sauce or something. The Monkey Balls were excellent! The crisp on the breading really sealed the deal.. I'll definitely be ordering those again. The Dynamite roll was a little disappointing compared to it's description & Dynamite rolls I've had elsewhere. It was still good, it just wasn't what I was expecting & what I had a craving for. It's something I might again, albeit with different expectations next time. I definitely still prefer Savage Sushi, but his menu is much more limited than here so it really depends on what you have a taste for.”
