“We ordered from here through Door Dash so don't have any details on the service or atmosphere but our food was amazing! We ordered the spider roll, alaska roll, Texas roll and a chefs special nigirie. It was all fresh tasting, beautiful presentation even as a take out order. It was a great treat to be able to do this from home and still have a restaurant worthy food experience. I would totally order from here again and look forward to checking out their location.”

The presentation was stunning! The sushi looks like it came from a 5* restaurant, and the hot food was also presented beautifully. Now, for the flavor. I ordered Mongolian Beef & BBQ pork fried rice. The beef melted in my mouth like butter, with sweet & savory sauce that makes me salivate just writing about it. The BBQ pork had a smokey, succulent sweet flavor & the vegetables were crisp but burst in my mouth. The rice was sticky & tender, perfect for my liking. Overall, my entire party was extremely happy & more than satisfied with the food & service! The 5th time was just as awesome as the 1st time. I’ve included pictures of a variety of dishes they have available. 10/10 AMAZING. Best Asian food I’ve ever had from NY, all across the country to here.”

“Tried this place since it was only a couple min from my house. Really nice interior decoration everywhere. I made reservations, and we were seated on time. Waitress was busy, so we sat there for over 10 minutes before she even took our drink order. Another 5+ min before the drinks every came out. I was thirsty and finished mine quickly. Took her 10+ min to get me a refill. Chef finally came out, a little bit of conversation but not much. Show was the most average hibachi show I've ever seen. It's not horrible, but not a single thing special about it. Ordered a meal for myself and my 2 kids (10 & 4) prices are OUTRAGEOUSLY high. Little chicken and rice for my son ($25.50). Oh, and if you want fried rice instead of the included white rice. A substitute would make sense, but NOPE. They charge you $5.50 ADDITIONAL for fried rice PER person and charge it as a "side." Which makes ZERO sense because you don't also get white rice. If you got white rice AND fried rice, that $5.50 additional charge would be justified. I went here as a birthday celebration and that was also uneventful. Want them to sing and give you desert line ANY normal restaurant? That'll be $15. They even have the nerve to put that charge on the menu. The food was okay, the service was okay, the show was okay, the price was $163 for 1 adult, 2 kids, and 2 sodas, not including the tip. If you want a good experience, choose another place. I feel scammed for the amount of money I paid.”

“It's a small quaint Japanese restaurant. When you walk in your greeted by a few stuffed animals and some typical Japanese decor. The wait staff are instantly friendly and attentive. Their menu compared to some restaurants is rather small but...... it's worth the visit. The food is prompt and brought out hot and fresh. It's authentic Pad Thai. The sushi is made fresh. The wait staff are friendly and willing to accommodate. The prices are amazing with most dishes being around $15. Fresh sashimi is more but still reasonably priced. Definitely would recommend a visit 👌 Vegan options available and they also have a vegan menu to make ordering easier.”

“Really good Japanese food, the atmosphere is trendy casual and modern, loved the fact that they have limited menu EVERY day! We tried the 10 kinds of sashimi and it was amazing, the uni was very similar to what we tried in Japan and at a decent price. Grilled salmon set was also surprisingly large in terms of portion and very tasty. The oxen was a bit pricey compared to the others but the wagyu would literally melt in your mouth. Hojicha tiramisu was also very nice, appreciate that they made the tea flavor strong enough and not too sweet!”

“Sushi Tama has been our go-to sushi restaurant in Tacoma for over 20 years! While it has a small dining room, the food is delicious and always made with care and attention to detail. It is always spotlessly clean and the service is excellent. You should try to make a reservation in advance or come during a less busy day of the week. Even at 4:30 it might already be packed. However it is well worth the wait. It might not be as upscale as some other restaurants but it has a comfortable feel to it that puts you at ease. Food might take a little longer than at other places at times but again, it’s worth the wait. It’s a wonderful place for a date night or evening with good friends. It might not be the best option for really active little ones in the family, but if you do take them just make sure to bring things to keep them entertained and happy.”

Like I said, I have been to a few places for sushi in Vancouver. Sushi Ninja vanished my disappointment, exceeded my expectations. The sushi priced to encourage visits rather than you budget your next date night or splurge. You might say - “sounds cheap Rosie, cheap sushi means gastric distress” I would generally agree with that statement except in the case of Sushi Ninja. This is quality sushi at a reasonable price. 5/5 - this may be the best in Vancouver. Ps - preference - I don’t care for too much spicy mayo and there was a bit too much for my liking. Next time I will ask for less.”
