“Mizu is hands down the best sushi place in Winston Salem. Their soups are excellent- miso, clear onion or seafood soup. The appetizers are delicious. Kani Salad is the best version I’ve ever had. Calamari is also a good choice. The hibachi dishes are great. Much higher quality than the other Japanese restaurants in town. The best choices on the menu is by far the sushi. The fish is fresh, the rolls are unique. You can’t go wrong with any of it. Their speciality sashimi like the uni and octopus are also very good. You won’t be disappointed by Mizu as your regular sushi place.”

“Went here to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The food was delicious and great service. Our chef was friendly and there was no wait time. Will certainly visit again. We had the steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops, and chicken. Also had calamari appetizer, it was all perfect. Salad could be larger though, really small bowl. Veggies were good as well.”

“Food was pretty good. Located in a strip mall. Don’t let the location put you off. Food is pretty good. We went for lunch. They offer a variety of lunch specials and a full menu. Plenty of options got everyone. Unsweetened tea was pretty good too. Would recommend if you are craving Japanese food.”

“Everything tasted delicious - out of this world at Ko An! We got the lobster buns as an appetizer which are very tastey. The bibimbap was made very well and the Thai red curry has a very good sauce. The desserts were exquisite! The restaurant is so pretty - the high ceilings, tables, and even bathroom, are absolutely gorgeous. They also have fantastic outdoor dining. I am really impressed with this restaurant. Can't wait to go back!”

“Yoshi's is my go to for my quick hibachi cravings! I always get the Yakisoba chicken and shrimp noodles & my wife gets the combo, hibachi chicken rice and the bagel sushi roll. When I get home I put their yum yum sauce on and put my own Sriracha on top! Lol”

“I don’t post often- but I had to share this. First experience was all around a mess and not good. Spent over $60 for 2 people to have Take Out dinner. Ordered for pick up confirmed to be ready at 405. Called and told it would be 415. Got there and then told the sushi chef wasn’t there yet. Said we wanted a refund for the ONE app that was just tuna. They then said he was actually there and to give them 5 minutes. Almost 20 MORE minutes before it was ready. No partial refund or credit offered. Then we get home and I opened th bag and saw this!!! This was the sushi chef required item that was $16?!? Absolutely insane. 12 tiny pieces of tuna. All over food was meh at best. I can’t believe the experience we had and will definitely not be returning.”

“Went there with a group of eight for dinner on a Thursday night with a reservation. Sat at the bar after getting there early. Bartender was very helpful, made a great drink and offered us some food. Suggestions when we asked. Atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice. One of the members of our party really liked the bar, top tables and the lazy Susans on the tables for sharing. We ordered quite a bit of food and shared. We ordered the salmon, ball appetizer, eggplant appetizer, dumplings, and chicken wings. All were delicious and flavorful. For dinner, we had Kung pao shrimp, pad thai, fried rice, brussel sprouts, pad see ew and lettuce wraps. One of our diners had dietary restrictions, and those were accommodated without issue. Everyone in our group commented how amazing the food was. You could see the vegetables were fresh and The dishes were all presented well and appropriately flavored and spiced. We all commented that we would go back again. Highly recommend.!”

“This is an interesting review for me. The food was decent but it wasn’t cohesive with the atmosphere. This was a decent bar scene. I was expecting pub food and was surprised to see an Asian inspired menu. The food was decent. My wife got soup and ended up with bland chicken broth. Had to add some soy sauce for a little flavor. This would be a good place to go for some drinks and pub food, but as it is there are much better Asian restaurants in town. I wouldn’t say no to this place but it also wouldn’t be my first choice.”

“Everything was excellent. My friend has spent some time in Japan and said that this sushi was the closest thing he’s had to what they served there. The fish melts in your mouth. I would advise getting a specialty roll along with a regular roll - which offers more fish. A great place to celebrate my birthday!!”

Love their Sushi, miso soup, age dashi tofu and Ramen. Food comes in a lickety-split, always amazingly consistent. Go try them, promise you won’t be disappointed!”
