“MY FAVORITE SUSHI RESTAURANT IN BALTIMORE ❤️❤️❤️ I got the sushi appetizer, dragon roll, and salmon roll. I love this place because the fish is fresh and decent tasting for the cheap prices. The prices are SO CHEAP. Like I never heard of $12-13 rolls until I went to Yama Sushi 😮 I would say dragon roll had smaller pieces of eel than I am used to in my dragon rolls but for the price I completely understand and think the amount of eel is fair. I love their salmon the best tho. I wish they have salmon sushi appetizer which would be 7-8 salmon sushi 😆 Their tuna and other fish are not bad for the price too. I want to emphasize that you should not expect high quality sushi here. But if you wanna eat decent sushi until you are full without breaking your wallet, this is the place 😍”

“This is a long overdue review. I’ve been a customer since 2008. It’s a place that I come back to each time I am in town. The food quality is still great, and the service is still top notch. I also used to work here during high school, and I had worked at many kitchens since/ before then. I can testify that they have one of the cleanest/ most organized kitchens I’ve ever seen. This place still always busy for a reason. So happy I had the chance to visit ♥️”

And some light bulbs needed to be replaced.”

Despite making a reservation both of the last 2 times, they couldn't find it and then we were told that they "don't take reservations". Last time we didn't have to wait, but this time it was rather crowded at the entrance. Although there were tables for all 4 parties to be seated (and we had made a reservation) we had to wait while the hostess was unsure of what to do and was waiting for assistance. 1 party decided to leave, because they had been waiting too long. Service needs to be improved. We will return, because we love the food.”

I will never go back it was not worth $166 and then a $28 tip🤦🏽‍♀️ the cost doesn’t match the taste of food. Side note…the salad was disgusting 🤢 Their house dressing tasted like peanut butter base🤮 I definitely wouldn’t recommend this spot, spend your money somewhere else😬”

“Some friends and I went to this place this week. The restaurant is so cute and has some really cute back drop areas. The service was pretty good for the most part. Most of the food was super delicious. There were a few dishes that I did not care for, but maybe you would. The sausage was amazing and had so much flavor. The crackling and fried pork were also really good. I did not care for the jerky. The calamari and egg rolls were definitely a must try! The drinks here, alcoholic and non alcoholic are amazing!!! Great spot for a quick bite or a great outing with friends.”

“This is our go to in Bel for all things Asian!! From the Hibachi dinners, the Chinese dishes, the Pho noodle soup, and of course the Sushi!! We have never had a bad dish here. The prices are extremely affordable for the food portions as well. They have sushi selections for everyone, raw, cooked, plenty of choices! Dumplings were good, egg rolls were great as well. We have even tried several of their Sake options. Service is always top notch, food comes out fast as well! We have also had pickup/deliver from here on several occasions that is top notch!”

“I wish i could give a 3.5. this place was beautiful, and the service was great. i felt like i was at a fancy restaurant. all the food i got was delicious... but one important dish was lacking. we got fried edamame (amazing), spicy sushi entree (best spicy sushi I've ever eaten), and complimentary tea. my main dish was one of the "Damo specials", meals that are far more pricey than the normal sushi, that claim to be enough for one meal, and have 8 pieces. it did not live up to that. i got the Black Pearl (salmon, black fish eggs, mango, and fried crab sticks), and it was wider than a normal sushi roll, but only 5 pieces. the worst part, was there was very little salmon - it was filled with the fried sticks. there was only one piece with a decent amount of fish in it. i paid $17 for mostly air. my stomach was rumbling once i finished.”

“We went for lunch based on enthusiastic recommendations. The food options were classic yet interesting, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. The service unfortunately left us wanting for more. For example, we ordered and paid for the focaccia but they had run out of the tomato butter that usually accompanies the bread. Instead of compensating, they simply stated the deficiency until we requested a substitute like pesto. The 4-5 dishes we ordered rung out to be more expensive than what was on the menu, and the special, a veggie side, turned out to be just as pricy as an entree. The focaccia had great texture, the shishito peppers were well charred, the asparagus tomato dish was savory, and the carbonara was a little watery in want of finishing salt. The pollo panini lived up to expectations. Overall, the food was good and the ambiance was cozy, but the service side can use much improvement.”
