“Quality of the food here is great and very authentic, though priced on the higher side. We enjoyed the sashimi and rolls. Atmosphere is very lively and the space seems best for smaller parties. It usually gets very busy during peak hours, so it's recommended to coming early to avoid waiting longer. Parking can be tough in the plaza lot but it's usually ok.”

“Hands down the best sushi in Palo Alto. It’s called “executive sushi” for a reason. It’s definitely pricey, but very, very fresh. We love the edamame, miso soup, chef’s special role, spicy tuna, volcano roll, tempura shrimp roll, yaki udon, rock shrimp tempura… everything is amazing and the beer is cold. Really, really love this spot.”

“I’m a loyal customer of Go fish. I really like it but this time is horrible. I always order a large one so I know how much food in the bowl. This time it only fills 3/2 of the large bowl. In the first scoop of fish, there are only 3 pieces of Tuna. Are you kidding me? Also please take a look at the quality of mix greens. Again. I might go in the future. But this time is 0/5 stars for sure.”

“First off, what fantastic service! They seated us promptly and were very quick clearing and maintaining the table as dishes were brought and finished. The staff was very friendly and polite. Now the food was was next level excellent! Each dish was prepared perfectly and the tastes were great. I will definitely be coming back and bringing more friends along for the experience! Highly recommended.”

“Kampai is my favorite place to get sushi and have some drinks with the homies. Its always a treat coming here. JJ is always bringing something new and fresh. If they have the live scallops in the shell it's my favorite thing served with real fresh wasabi. Love kampai!!”

“It was late getting into the hotel across the street so we gave their late nite happy hour a try. I know it’s Calif but “happy hour” didn’t appear to affect drink value… maybe they cut the price a little and make them smaller. We tried a few 串物(grilled skewers) but were underwhelmed. One staff member was really upbeat n friendly. Others were a mix. A light was out over our table- see pics, kinda dark.”

“Save your money and time. Go elsewhere. Worst poke bowl I’ve ever had. I don’t like writing negative reviews but this restaurant deserves this one. Ordered six meals and threw away six meals. Inedible. They are also very disorganized. Meals took forever to finish to the point I told them just leave the appetizers because I ran out of time. Also… the lids to the bowls don’t close so if you need to walk with your meal - in my case I had six meals - you will probably spill along the way. They tried taping the lids closed but they still opened along the way. We had to throw each bowl away because no one out of the six people present wanted to eat the bowls. What a waste.”
