“Great, knowledgeable server added to the experience. Better not to arrive too hungry, you get one bite of food every 8 minutes on average (we had 22 items in just over 3 hours). - In fact, the people sitting next to us mentioned they were here for the experience but were planning to get another dinner afterwards! Dishes ranged from interesting to delicious to just OK. Not fish forward, but the sauces were all complex and every dish had a wide variety of textures. I sometimes found myself wishing i could try the main ingredients without all the distractions, but I think the complex sauces are their specialty.”

“My friend and I went during their Halloween celebration Scare Leave. It was super crowded, but we were able to find two open chairs at the bar relatively quickly. If you’re going for a special event, definitely make a reservation unless you have a small party. The vibes are great. They had lots of fun decorations matching the pirate theme. The bartender was super nice. My friend and I were talking about different restaurants, and I kept forgetting the name of certain places, but the bartender would interject with the name. Honestly, a G. I got Ahuizotl's Conquest, a cocktail that didn’t have a strong taste other than pure alcohol. Food wise, I also got the okonomiyaki tater tots which were fine but didn’t taste particularly like okonomiyaki. For my main meal, I got the shiitake tempura roll which wasn’t too bad. The tempura was quite crispy, and there were enough rolls that I was satisfied.”

“The food is extremely good for the price, would come back anytime. They have a large menu with many delicious options, even for non sushi lovers. The drinks are creative and delicious, the staff are also extremely friendly. Nicely decorated and VERY clean, I'm surprised this place wasn't busier during the weekend. For the price, you get nicely sized portions at fantastic prices. If you're in the mood for Japanese food, come here.”

“What a gem! I didn’t expect this place to have such a nice vibe and decor. All the wooden accents that they have and the nice sushi bar setup add a really authentic touch to the place. Also the way they serve the sushi on a wooden tray makes it a much more enjoyable experience than the usual ceramic plates. I got around 10 maki pieces and they were delicious! The rice was very soft and moist, the seaweed wrap was not chewy at all, and the fish tasted very fresh! I also got a seaweed side salad (which in my opinion can be shared by 2 people) and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this place whether it’s for a night out with friends or a date! Though I would try to get a table in the area where the sushi bar is because the further you go inside the more isolated you feel, but still enjoyable! I would say that the service was a bit slow but I think it was understandable when you factor in the large amount of people, the quality and presentation of the dishes, and the care they put into them.”

“I love Moko! While it is not actually a hidden gem (they are consistently busy with takeout orders) the real gem is their restaurant itself! You can easily grab a table most nights and get to enjoy their delicious food and awesome wait staff. They always play good music as well! Their new truffle toro roll (pictured) is amazing and hopefully will stick around on their menu for a long time. Always a 10/10 at Moko.”
