Ocbc Aquatic Centre

( 8 reviews )
Closed until 07:00 AM

7 Stadium Dr, Singapore 397632

“The OCBC Aquatics Competition Pool stands out as the top pool in Singapore, offering superior water quality compared to other public pools with barely any chlorine smell. Additionally, the female changing rooms closer to the competition pool are impressively spacious, equipped with ample lockers and shower rooms. A major highlight is the availability of hot showers, enhancing the overall experience. However, the hair dryers could see some improvement, but considering the reasonable cost of less than $3, it’s not a significant issue. Training Pool -1.35-2.0m Competition Pool -3m”

“The staff are very nice and extremely helpful in our situation. We had wanted to go swimming in Singapore and remembered that a few years ago, all you had to do was tap your bus card to enter. However, things have changed- now, in order to enter at all, you have to register for an ActiveSG account. Unfortunately for non- Singapore residents, this process is nearly impossible without a Singaporean phone number, and then also a Singaporean credit card. Thankfully, we had helpful desk staff figure out a way to sneak through the problem, and one staff offered to use his credit card in exchange for payment in cash. We still needed to provide the postal code for our flat, but eventually, after almost half an hour of trying, we managed to get through without registering for an account. Then, when we got inside, we realised that the entire waterslide and lazy river had been closed because of no one doing regular maintenance during Covid! Not only that, but even though we paid for adult passes inside, the kids were not allowed into the jacuzzi because they said only adults. And the kids were not allowed on the kid's playground either because they had to be very short in order to enter. All that said, we enjoyed swimming in the pool even though we could have went to the pool next to our flat, but we thought this would be more fun with a waterslide. We are very dissatisfied with the system, but the only reason for 2 stars is the staff were helpful, otherwise we would have had to go home completely.”

Queenstown Activesg Swimming Complex

473 Stirling Rd, Singapore 148948

“May/June 2023 - This place is now closed for renovations and will be ready probably in 2025. For a lot of people, this place brings back a lot of nostalgic memories, where swimming as a sport, brought the community together, not forgetting the various swim clubs from waterpolo to diving, to underwater hockey, and lifesaving training! It was a place where time stood still for a long while, in a country so used to giving up its architectural heritage in the name of progress. Alas, progress has caught up and while there is probably no shortage of eager anticipation for its rejuvenation to be completed in the near future, an era is gone forever!”

54 Palawan Beach Walk, Singapore 098233

“It’s very fun and does not require too much athleticism. Perfect for family and friends of any age - from adults to young children. The price is around $20+ per person for an hour for the weekend, and probably cheaper on weekdays. Its a large floating area in the middle of the water where they will provide you a life vest so no need to worry. There are various mini challenging courses in between each route (4 routes in total) and here are slides or bouncy platforms to jump into the water from. It’s great fun but just be careful because it is easy to loose your balance or slip and fall. I fell pretty badly and scratched up half my leg. Afterwards the staff gave me first aid treatment and bandaged it up.”
