“These swimming pools are free, and there is a life gard on site. Wonderful place for small children and parents on a hot day. Families are safe, and the water is all the same depth. Well, it's worth a visit. Sydney has many scattered around, so I've heard. Beautiful parks all around ❤️”

“Very nice view and walk to the most easterly point of the Australian mainland. Two stars less because of the overpriced parking fees around. If you park at the top you will be charged 10 AUD per vehicle.”

Little Bay Beach
4.7
( 8 reviews )

4R Coast Hospital Rd, Little Bay NSW 2036, Australia

“Very good. Calm . Less people. Few cafe accessible. Don't expect more than this from a less crowded beach 🏖️. Golf ⛳ is the thing that you should be mindful about. Don't walk in the golf course. Not safe. It has a playground. No issue with 4p car park on Saturday. Overall good Thanks for reading my review. Have a good day”

Bronte Baths

“My favourite place to swim in Sydney. Great 30 meter pool, with space for people wanting to do laps, and those who just want to soak up the water, rays and views. Has showers and toilets, can choose between beach swims in Bogey Hole, Gentleman's Hole or the beach. Extensive area of grass or sand on the beach Choose your own adventure”

Clovelly Beach

Clovelly NSW 2031, Australia

“A family-friendly beach for all ages from toddlers to grandparents to relax, exercise and socialise. It offers a sheltered beach for swimming and snorkelling, a lap pool for swimming practice. There are trails on the rocks and along the beach for walking, strolling, jogging. There is a children playground for kids, picnic areas for family and friends to enjoy the fresh air and sun. There is plenty of free parking and a cafe.”

Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 06:00 AM

458 Harris St, Ultimo NSW 2007, Australia

“Our family has been coming here every week for almost seven years . Spacious, hygienic, aesthetic , and most of all, the heated pool all year long ! The centre has a friendly and effective management team and staff . Initially there was a senior staff who’s very racist towards non-Caucasian kids and got complained by quite a few parents. The centre dealt with the complaints immediately. After a thorough investigation the senior staff was removed for good. If not because we have relocated we would have still been here every week . They have set the bar high that I still haven’t found another place even match Ian Thorpe . I guess we will still be coming back for casual play . To be in compliance with their photo policy around kids and leisure pool no photo was taken around the other 2 pools . Strongly recommended.”

Ripples St Marys Leisure Centre
4.2
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 05:30 AM

Charles Hackett Dr, St Marys NSW 2760, Australia

“Good place for a swim, spa and sauna. Live away from the beach now so this is a good alternative to have nearby. As of today, use of spa, sauna and pool for one day is $10 per person (adult). A nice addition to the area. Can't wait till the maintenance for the 50m pool is finished - would like to do laps there. Though the 25m one has been fine to use.”

Ganguddy-dunns Swamp Campground
4.7
( 16 reviews )

Wollemi National Park, NSW 2849, Australia

“Still one of my favourite camping spots well worth the drive from Sydney. The pagoda formations elevate your view above all the campsites and there are lots of campsites to enjoy, over 80 and they are spread comfortably around the bend of the river. We've been 4 times now and have enjoyed it equally each time. There's firewood available, fire-pits and clean bush toilets. With Southern Cross Kayaking you're able to hire Kayaks or enjoy their tours on school holidays. There's not a lot of walks, the Pagoda Lookout is well worth it. The weir walk is interesting though this time it was a little smelly. Kids love exploring the pagodas which are like mini Bungle Bungles. There's swimming to enjoy and Kookaburra beach is the best spot to enter the water. Mobile reception in the campsite is non existent, if you walk up The Pagodas in the middle get one bar of 3G on Telstra and you get more on the Pagoda lookout and the walk near the Weir.”

Col Jones Swim Tempe
4.7
( 9 reviews )
Closed until 02:45 PM

23 Toyer St, Tempe NSW 2044, Australia

“In the 1980s my parents sent me to a swimming school very similar to Col Jones. As a result, I'm an excellent swimmer, and in fact have my own coaching certificate. When I had kids I discovered that it's impossible to get your own kids to listen to you, So we sent both of them to aquatic centres for lessons. $10,000 later ( That's not a joke) neither kid could swim across the pool without a serious risk of drowning. In desperation we sent them to Col Jones. Within a term both of them were swimming well and non-stop. This swimming school has an extremely high standard of teaching, with excellent methods, and concentration on repetitive skill building and drills to ensure your kid is going to be able to swim. Cannot recommend them highly enough. The only downside is that it's a bit far away from a coffee shop, but there is some suspicious construction going on there this morning that looks like they may be rectifying that. My only regret is that I have only five stars to give. (In winter, wear a coat that can handle moisture and maybe a hat, because the roof drips cold condensation - heated pool, cold roof, it's gonna happen, laws of thermodynamics/precipitation type thingy- and a droplet of icy water down the back of your neck is no joke. )”

The Forum Sports & Aquatic Centre
4.5
( 8 reviews )
Closed until 05:30 AM

130 University Dr, Callaghan NSW 2308, Australia

“Great staff!!! There was a mix-up with my billing and the staff was very understanding when they could have made things extremely difficult for me. They chose to do the right thing by me instead of making some easy cash. this meant a lot and unfortunately is not common among gyms. Great job Forum and thank you.”

Huntley Berry Farm
4.6
( 8 reviews )

1024 Huntley Rd, Huntley NSW 2800, Australia

“Lovely place for a walk around. Kids had a blast looking for blackberries. We got some amazing zucchini’s too and you can’t fault the price.”

Zenith Beach
4.7
( 10 reviews )

Shoal Bay NSW 2315, Australia

“Beautiful beautiful beach. Looked fantasy like, a bit too good to be true. Took my breath away when I first saw it. The waves did look a bit strong though. Go in the morning or early afternoon. A shadow is cast over the beach the later it gets, but that might make it more sun safe for those sunbaking.”

Chinamans Beach
4.5
( 10 reviews )

New South Wales 2088, Australia

“Our day at Chinamans Beach left mixed impressions. While the rocky shore disappointed us, the shallow waters offered a unique experience, especially for shorter individuals. The presence of boats, including ice-cream vendors, brought an unwelcome smell of diesel, marring the swimming experience. The beach, though small, boasts a crowded charm; arriving early is essential. The adjacent picnic area is a highlight, but shade is lacking, making a tent advisable. Convenient parking near the picnic area is a plus. Overall, Chinamans Beach provides a quaint yet crowded coastal escape with some noteworthy drawbacks.”
