481 Mystic Valley Pkwy, Medford, MA 02155, United States
“Popular free spot for swimming, picnicking, and playing. There is parking, but it can fill up quickly on a hot day. Playground for kids, open grassy area, wooded area, small sand beach (Shannon Beach) are all available for use; however, the beach is currently undergoing work to build a new bathhouse, so there's less space than usual. No plumbing at this time, though there are some portajohns. Swimming is pleasant, and there is a roped-off shallow swimming area by the beach, but no lifeguard, so open-water swimming is at your own risk. You can paddleboard or canoe as well. Although people could be a little better about cleaning up after themselves sometimes, it's reasonably well kept. Lake may be closed for swimming due to bacteria levels the day after a heavy rain, so check the sign.”

“From pool to ocean this place has it all!!! Next time I go, I’m definitely gonna be one of those ones on the paddleboard :-) Me and one of my friend went for a walk around the grounds. If you go around a couple of times, you get a great workout in will be in cool with that ocean breeze.”
570 Burnett Rd, Chicopee, MA 01020, United States
“Great place to walk dogs. Also nice beach for swimming in the summer. Can be expensive to enter during summer months so get a year pass if you are planning to visit several times.”
Brewster, MA 02631, United States
“This is a TINY beach area with private beach signs on either side. We visited off season, so didn't have to worry about the parking permit issues others have mentioned. Visiting during low tide is a fun opportunity to walk out into the sandy areas and explore. We saw tons of snails, hermit crabs and sea birds. Spending an hour or two exploring here is fun - but it's not a beach that you'd want to plan an entire day around. The sunset we saw was pretty spectacular.”
