Hopeville Pond State Park
4.6
( 16 reviews )
Closed until 08:00 AM

929 Hopeville Rd, Griswold, CT 06351, United States

“We went recently for a ladies camping weekend. The park is very nice, it’s a great place for families looking to have some relaxing time away from a busy life. The park is set up to be more like a community base setting. Every one is friendly and is happy to help with whatever questions you have. What I really love about this park was the hiking/biking trails. No matter what path you take for biking or hiking it leads right back into the park. Therefore you can never get lost in the woods. Another thing I did like was where the facility is located. It’s like a light house to guide you back to your street. The website said no pets but it seem as if no one is going by that rule. I don’t mind people having their pets but when you go to the facility and find a dog in the baby changing table, that clearly violates the rule. I can’t imagine being a parent and being my child to use the facility and lay the child in the same area someone had their dog laying. Other than that it’s a great place to go camping.”

Salmon River State Forest

“My favorite spot for fishing, hiking, or if you just need a break with nature! Best spot and so many areas in the river to explore”

Enders State Forest

Granby, CT 06035, United States

“Going to Enders is always an absolute pleasure! I try and visit every time I’m in the area since it offers such beautiful views. I’ve visited numerous times and it doesn’t matter if the parking lot is totally empty or filled with cars galore I’ve never felt cramped or that there was too many people around to enjoy all the amazingness this place has to offer. Make sure to explore both sides up and down for different vantage points and experiences. The far side is a bit more rugged and natural for lack of better terms but the closer side has been redone with beautiful stairs that are exceptionally easy to navigate for people of all ages!”

Rockwell Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )

238 Jacobs St, Bristol, CT 06010, United States

“One of the "hidden gems" of this part of Connecticut, Rockwell Park is a favorite location to see a wide variety of scenery in a reasonable walk. Pretty pond, stone tower, boardwalk through the pond, and amphitheater. An extensive playground, splash pad, and skatepark make this a well rounded park for children and adults of all ages.”

Stamford Jcc

1035 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT 06905, United States

“It's a fantastic community center, love the fitness classes (there's everything from strength to boxing to yoga to Zumba) and it's a great place to work (full disclosure: I'm one of the group fitness instructors here). I've never felt so welcomed anywhere else. Everyone has been so nice. You can tell the JCC cares about its members and has been constantly renovating and updating its facilities -- very important. My son is enrolled in the swim classes here and he's having an amazing time. Thank you!!”

545 Ridgebury Rd, Ridgefield, CT 06877, United States

“This is one of my favorite public courses. Challenging. Very well maintained. Beautiful greens in practically perfect shape. Every hole has its own character. Very unique. A beautiful walk. The food at the club house is great as well. All the employees are super friendly. I love this place and wish I were able to play there more often. Well done.”
