“This is a really nice little community gym/activity center. Excellent variety of exercise equipment, from free weights to machines, including plenty of cardio. A walking track overlooks the indoor basketball court (there is also an outdoor court!) and there are plenty of rooms for small classes to large meetings. There is a large pool that allows for classes and lap swimming, and in the summer opens to an outdoor area with chairs and umbrellas, plus water fountains for the kiddos. Inside, to the left of the front desk, there is a wide two-story-tall climbing wall. The Roger Carter Center has something for everyone! Best thing of all...It's much less expensive, yet has just as many, if not more, features as some commercial places. And the annual price for senior memberships can't be beat!”

“This was my first time at this location, I went for the Christmas show as my girlfriend bought tickets. We had a blast!! All the staff was very welcoming, joyful, and very helpful. The food was great and the program and activities were top notch. I would highly recommend it to anyone.”

“I’ve always loved this park. I’ve been going for years to just walk around. Thankful there are times we can explore that we don’t have to pay. It’s great for finding shark teeth and the boardwalk is great too. There’s a bit of a walk to the beach but I think that’s part of the fun too. This is a fun place all year, not just for swimming. Only begins there isn’t a water area to rinse during the summer.”

“This pool is a great amenity. It's huge, there are swim lanes, a smaller kids area. The lushious lawn is great to lay on. Love this place. Highly recommended. The rest of this review comes from a decade of experience in pool operating and lifeguarding. The pool is dirty. I went for three days in a row, and the same clump of sand sat at the foot of the ladders. I do not believe the lifeguards are vacuuming the pool daily, as is general protocol. So, there is a lot of debris in the pool. Additionally, I have never seen the lifeguards check the pH or chlorine levels of the pool. It's possible they have an automated system, but I doubt it. I have seen 35-45 swimmers in the pool, one Lifeguard in the stand, three in deck talking to the guard in the stand. Again, no the best practice. The manager of the pool needs to be involved and ensure that the pool is getting cleaned and is properly monitored.”
