“We have skied and hiked Ajax, Snowmass, and the Highlands a number of times. Other than eating at the BBQ place at the base of Buttermilk, we have never skied this mountain before until today. As expert level skiers, we were pleasantly surprised by how much we liked this mountain. No, it is not challenging, but there is tons of sidecountry tree skiing, and the powder stays in there for days after a storm. Buttermilk to us felt like a mini version of Beaver Creek or Deer Valley. This is a great place to learn how to ski.”

“Really nice and well-managed municipal rec center. There is plenty of free parking. Clean and well lighted facility. Staff is respectful and professional. One of my favorite rec centers I've ever been to. Next door to very excellent city historic museum.”

“Great place for camping, fishing, boating, swimming, biking, hiking, and picnics. When we went, they had just treated the lake, so you couldn't fish, swim, boat, or let your dogs near the water. We did enjoy hiking the perimeter of the lake, and there are several other connecting trails in the area for hiking and biking. There's a great playground equipment set for the kids and a nice campground. There's something for everyone here!”

“Hands-down, one of the most beautiful places in the greater Front Range area. The off-leash dog beach is incredible! $10 for the whole day, which is a great deal. The views are stunning from every angle - the mountains, the lake, green space. Very well-maintained and plenty of parking, at least on the weekdays. I hear that the weekends get crazy-crowded, but I still think it's worth it. Enjoy!”

“We've done swim lessons here. I must say the instructors are far better than the YMCA locally. The YMCA's class sizes are atrocious and somewhat low quality. In comparison the class size here is pretty small and after only a few lessons here I've seen drastic improvement in the kiddo's ability”

I was especially impressed in the way she carefully adjusted that energetic dance form to a slightly older group of women yet it was still super rigorous and fun. Thank you!”

“We had an amazing birthday party at Woodward and the coaches were super friendly and helpful. They set up all the equipment for us beforehand so we didn't have to wait around, and guided us with techniques and tips throughout the session. Everyone had a really fun time and my friends landed a bunch of tricks on the trampolines and on the jumps. Thanks again to the people at Woodward, who went above and beyond!”

“This place is a hidden gem. I tell parents all the time about it all the time and it seems like not a lot of folks have tried it. There is an entrance fee for folks visiting, similar to any water park but it’s pretty casual - like a park or playground. There are 4 areas to enjoy the water: - the toddler pool with the giant water bucket (dumps about 5 min apart) - great for toddlers - event this section has a more chill area for kids who are ~1yo. - lap swim pool with a diving board - lazy river - bigger slides. Great for adults and kids 7yo and older The snack shop is reasonably priced but they don’t have much in the way of food. You can bring in any food that isn’t in glass containers which makes it helpful for people with kids who just want a pb&j or snacks! You can grab a lounger or bring chairs/blanket to set it out on the grass. There is a lot of space to lounge!”
