“Absolutely phenomenal park. There are a couple small fenced areas, and then the larger dog area you enter from the parking lot is fully fenced (trust me, my husky mix and I checked). There's also a separate fenced off swimming hole area (frozen over, now). For any escape-prone or wanderer dogs be aware that I saw two Vizslas easily jump the fence by the watering hole, so it's definitely possible, and the gates headed to the watering hole have a bit of a gap under them where a small or very determined dog could sneak underneath. All in all a superb park and we will absolutely be back!”

“12th St., Beach. It’s a nice place to cool down in a hot city just adjacent to the museum area of Chicago. This little gem of a beach is a great spot for an afternoon picnic or a full day of playing and swimming. Sanders clean the water is clear the lifeguarding is good and there’s even a little snack shack to get some treats for a long hot day”

“I think it's a great waterpark - brought 5 kids on my own and felt it was manageable and safe. There's a little kids play area, a zero depth pool with diving board/chute slide/lily pads, another play area with a dump bucket, water slides & lazy river. Free under 2 YO. What I learned: *Get there before it starts or be prepared to stand in line (no shade) *Parking is a limited and the main lot is a pretty decent walk; dropped my kids and had them wait in line while I parked *You can bring in all your own food and a cooler - snack shop is good but gets expensive (hot dog, pizza, mozzarella sticks, fries, snacks, water) *Bring your water plus MORE waters - everything sold/water fountains were all warm *People set up LEGIT PARTIES: like tents, blankets, umbrellas, sandwich trays, full pizzas, chairs. I wish I would have brought some of these items to 'claim my area': like a folding chair or 2 + blanket + shade umbrella - there is VERY LITTLE SHADE *Bring a wagon to carry all of the items listed above from the parking lot to the park”

“We had a birthday party there for a 10 year old. The staff was SUPER friendly, the price was reasonable, and the pool patio was a useful area for a larger party. The kids area is probably a bit too small for anyone over 10. The boys ended up at the lilly pad/rope climb area, as well as the two water slides they had to offer. The rest of the area was for little kids, so keep that in mind during your planning. This is good from about 5yrs-10yrs. The facility provided water & juice, we also brought juice and cups just in case. They also provided plates and napkins. We brought in pizza from nearby. We would.do it again, but with the kids getting older, it just won't hold their interest like it used to. Nonetheless, it's a great spot to get some swimming in during those winter months and bdays!”

“Great Golf course and immaculate service in the bar and restaurants dining rooms I should say. My son joined this country club few years ago. Was a wonderful move on his part. Family loves that my grandkids gets everything from swimming lessons after school. Care to golf, of course. Wonderful food have everything there. Every one of the fish dishes they're bang bang shrimp is extraordinarily that coupled with good service. This can't be beat that combination with world class dining. Great golf. Really good bartenders. Hard to beat this place. I love it, Mike Campbell Sr.”

“We rented a Party Barge on a slow day, but would have needed it anyway because of the size of our extended family (we've made an annual trip to Shelby... the last 4 years). This review is overdue, as I promised the owner I'd leave it sooner than a year later. She, the owner, was the proverbial greeter when we arrived. Helped us get down to the dock, and if I remember correctly, the owner was super kind and drove my kids down the gravel road to the dock ramp in her F-350. They provided carts to carry all our coolers (food & beverage) & gear from our van on to the dock and to the party barge, which was just the right size with amenities (had a couple grills we could BBQ on) and ladders to allow the kids to swim in the lake. We had a grand ole time and returning the vessel & gassing was easy, as they had their own pumps. While we didn't go this past summer, I would use Findlay again and appreciated their service & willingness to let us get out on the water for a half day, while not breaking the bank.”

“The place is excellent including manager, front desk and best janitorial service. Unfortunately the rules in the swimming pool and spa are zero. Members don't shower before entering. 15 cloth hangers not used but using the chairs instead. The final very bad news about the rule using the pool is two persons per lane before the training that starts at 9 AM . Oriental ladies come at 8 AM and block the swimmers. No one reads signs and it is daily issue”
